Abstract
Plastik merupakan hidrokarbon yang hampir keseluruhan rantainya tersusun atas hidrogen dan karbon, sehingga plastik butuh waktu lama untuk didegradasi. Akumulasi plastik di lingkungan menjadi masalah lingkungan dalam jangka panjang, karena tidak dapat terurai dengan cepat. Jamur merupakan salah satu solusi dalam degradasi plastik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan komposisi nutrisi pada medium Basal Medium (BM), Basal Minimal Medium (BMM), Mineral Medium (MEM), Malt Extract Medium (MExM), Minimal Medium (MiM), dan Minimal Salt Medium (MSM) terhadap kemampuan Syncephalastrum racemosum (LM 3002), Aspergillus fumigatus (LM 1102) dan Perenniporia tephropora (LM 3012) dalam mendegradasi plastik dengan waktu inkubasi 30 hari. Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berat kering biomassa, persentase degradasi (ED), Analisis SEM dan analisis Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan degradasi plastik dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan media yang digunakan untuk pertumbuhan isolat. Nilai persentase degradasi plastik tertinggi terjadi pada isolat Syncephalastrum racemosum yang ditumbuhkan pada Basal Medium dengan presentase degradasi sebesar 6,7%. Pada analisis SEM terdapat perubahan permukaan yang terjadi pada plastik HDPE yang diuji.

Plastics are hydrocarbons, which almost all chains are composed of hydrogen and carbon, so plastic takes a long time to degrade. Plastic accumulation in the environment is a long term environmental problem, because it cannot decompose quickly Fungi is one solution in degradation of plastic. This research was conducted to determine the effect of differences in nutrient composition on the medium Basal Medium (BM), Basal Minimal Medium (BMM), Mineral Medium (MEM), Malt Extract Medium (MExM), Minimal Medium (MiM), and Minimal Salt Medium (MSM) with the ability of Syncephalastrum racemosum (LM 3002), Aspergillus fumigatus (LM 1102) and Perenniporia tephropora (LM 3012) in degrading plastic during 30 days of incubation. The parameters used in this study were biomass dry weight, percentage of degradation (ED), SEM analysis and Fourier Transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The result of this study suggested that the capabilities of fungi to degrading plastic influenced by the difference of the medium. The highest percentage of plastic degradation occurs at isolate Syncephalastrum racemosum which is grown on Basal Medium with a percentage value at 6,7%. According to SEM analysis there is a change in the surface of plastic HDPE degraded.
