Abstract

Kegiatan RFCS merupakan salah satu kegiatan reklamasi yang dikembangkan di lahan bekas tambang PT. Semen Indoensia dengan memanfaatkan cekungan bekas galian untuk budidaya mina padi secara semi-intensif. Keberadaan plankton digunakan sebagai indikator kualitas perairan karena bersifat sensitif terhadap perubahan kualitas perairan serta berperan produktivitas primer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesuburan dan potensi pencemaran organik di RFCS berdasarkan kelimpahan plankton dan indeks saprobitas. Analisis kualitas air RCFS dilakukan dengan pengamatan komposisi dan kelimpahan individu plankton berdasarkan kriteria kesuburan dan indeks saprobik, serta pengukuran parameter fisika-kimia kualitas air meliputi suhu, pH, Dissolved oxygen (DO), dan kandungan NO3-. Analisa kuantitatif dilakukan dengan perhitungan nilai kelimpahan, analisis struktur komunitas, dan indeks saprobik pada plankton untuk menggambarkan kualitas air RFCS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis plankton yang sering ditemukan adalah plankton dari kelas Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Rotifera, dan kelompok Crustacea. Seluruh kolam RFCS dalam kondisi kurang subur dengan jumlah kelimpahan individu plankton pada kolam tipe RS berjumlah 1657-397 ind/L; kolam tipe RTS berjumlah 1840-663 ind/L; kolam TS berjumlah 4177 – 527 ind/L. Sedangkan berdasarkan saprobitas menunjukkan semua kolam RFCS berada pada fase β-Meso/oligosaprobik atau tingkat pencemaran ringan dengan kisaran +0,53 sampai +1,72.

Rice Fish Culture System (RFCS) are one of the reclamation activities that are being developed on the former mine site of PT. Semen Indonesia by utilizing the former excavated basin into semi-intensive pond and rice cultivation. The existence of plankton is used as an indicator of water quality because it is sensitive to changes in water quality and as produser in primary productivity. This study aims to determine the productivity rate as well as the potential for organic pollution in RFCS with abudance and saprobic index of plankton. The process of evaluating RFCS water quality is carried out by taking plankton, as well as measuring the physico-chemical parameters such as temperature,pH, Dissolved Oxygen, and Nitrat (NO3-). Quantitive analysis is done by calculating the abudance value, analysis of community structure, and saprobic index of plankton to describe the water quality of RFCS. Based on the result of the study showed that type of plankton commonly found were from class of Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae, Rotifer, and group of Crustacea. All RFCS ponds towards oligotrophic condutions the amount of plankton individual abudance in type such as RS ponds type amounted to 1657-397 ind/L; RTS ponds type amounted to 1840-663 ind/L; TS ponds type amounted to 4177-527 ind/L. Whereas based on saprobic shows all RFCS ponds are in the β-Meso/oligosaprobic phase or light pollution levels with a range +0,53 to +1,72.
