Abstract
Analisis on bottom stabilty yang dilakukan berdasarkan code DNV RP F-109 mengenai “On-Bottom Stability Design of Submarine Pipelines”.

As a modern technology, submarine cables were previously widely used for the development of communication or internet. Currently submarine cables are being developed for the development of electrical systems. The existence of submarine cables can be a means of connecting electricity supply from one region to another. However, if the submarine cable fails it will be very detrimental to the economic and environmental aspects so that it is necessary to analyze the on bottom stability of submarine cable. This Final Project discusses submarine cable installation planning. The sea cable is used to distribute electricity from South Sumatra to Bangka Island. On bottom stabilty analysis carried out based on DNV RP F-109 code regarding “On-Bottom Stability Design of Submarine Pipelines”. From the analysis of the operating conditions that have been carried out obtained a large hydrodinamic force horizontal (Fy) directions is 136.421 N/m and hydrodinamic force vertikal (Fz) directions is 91.75 N/m. The results of the stability analysis show that the minimum submerged weight requirement is 296.97 N/m to counteract the hydrodynamic forces acting along the cable. Based on the criteria design for vertical stability analysis is 0.602 and for lateral criteria design are 0.9207 and 0.2523. From the results of the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the structure is stable and fulfill the criteria of DNV RP F109.
