Abstract

The excitation system is a very important component in the operation of the generator engine. Excitation systems play an important role in regulating power and improving the system of electric power stability. The function of the excitation system in the generator is to control the output of the generator to remain stable in the load which is varied. The current and excitation voltage that enters the generator must be set to remain within the desired voltage and current limits. Excessive excitation of the generator can shorten the working life of the system. The lack of excitation in the generator can cause a decrease in torque at the starting torque on the electric motor. To avoid this, the excitation current and voltage entering the generator must be monitored first. In this final assignment research the current monitoring system and tegangfan have been carried out at the excitation panel output. This system consists of a voltage sensor module that uses the principle of a voltage divider and current sensor module that uses the principle of a dc ampere meter, a stm32f407vg microcontroller, a 16x2 LCD display and a storage system with STM studio software. This monitoring is done by giving a load to the generator. This measuring instrument produces a voltage measurement with a value of ± 0.69 for non-negativity while the current measurement has an uncertainty value of ± 0.67 with a confidence level of 95%.
