Abstract

Detak jantung dan pernafasan adalah parameter fisiologis penting untuk memantau pasien dan menilai kesehatan dalam studi medis. Hal ini dikarenakan karena dua parameter ini terdapat informasi dasar yang penting tentang kondisi fungsi tubuh. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan rancang bangun sistem monitoring detak jantung menggunakan sensor serat optik berstruktur singlemode-multimode-singlemode (SMS) dengan jenis serat optik multimode step index yang diletakkan pada denyut nadi arteri radialis di pergelangan tangan. Sensor untuk monitoring ini memiliki variasi panjang multimode 3 cm, 4 cm dan 5 cm. Sedangkan variasi jumlah detak jantung buatan yang dimonitoring oleh sensor meliputi detak 22 bpm - 210 bpm selama 60 detik. Sensor diletakkan pada bagian subwoofer dengan variasi besar volume subwoofer 10-100% yaitu sebesar 122,42 - 2602,05 mm/s2 yang terukur oleh vibration analyzer. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa sensor terbaik yang mampu memonitoring detak jantung adalah sensor dengan panjang multimode 5 cm. Sensor ini memiliki sensitifitas sebesar 0,52 dBm/dB dan persentase kesalahan pembacaan kurang dari 3% pada detak jantung manusia di rentang 88-110 bpm.

Heart and respiratory rate are important physiological parameters for monitoring patients and assessing health in medical studies. This is because these two parameters have important basic information about the condition of bodily functions. In this research, a heart rate monitoring system has been carried out using a singlemode-multimode-singlemode fiber optic sensor (SMS) with a multimode step index optical fiber that is placed on the pulse of the radial artery at the wrist. The sensor for monitoring has a multimode length variation of 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm. While variations in the number of artificial heartbeats monitored by the sensor include beats 22 bpm - 210 bpm for 60 seconds. The sensor is placed on the subwoofer with a large variation of the subwoofer volume from 10-100% which is equal to 122.42 - 2602.05 mm / s2 as measured by the vibration analyzer. In this study, the results of monitoring of artificial heartbeat are the percentage error graph of readings and power losses of three sensor variations. The best sensor that is able to monitor artificial heartbeat is a sensor with a multimode length of 5 cm. The 5 cm multimode sensor has a sensitivity of 0.52 dBm / dB. While the results of monitoring of the human heart rate are graphs of heart rate patterns in the range of 95-103 bpm.
