Abstract

In general, lighting arrangements usually use conventional switches with the principle of on and off. But in a house that is quite large and has lots of lights, it is difficult to just monitor, turn on and turn off the lights. This final project makes a design tool for lighting home lighting control systems using an Android smartphone. In this tool, in addition to setting the lights on and off, there is also setting the intensity of the light using a dimmer with a setting range of 0-100%. The way this device works is that the smartphone is connected to Arduino Mega by using the WiFi Wemos module (ESP8266) and connection to the internet. The commands that are on the smartphone will be sent via wifi on wemos then the data will be received and processed by Arduino Mega to run the lights settings command. The switch on the smartphone functions to run the relay to set the lights, if the switch is "on" then the light will turn on and if the switch is "off" then the light turns off. the light sensor can read on and off the lights by displaying data on the smartphone in the form of "on" if the light is on and "off" if the lamp is off. The current sensor will display the value of the current flowing from 0 - 0.5 A. The lights can be controlled as long as the smartphone and the control system are connected to an internet connection, because the system is based on IOT (internet of things) then the setup command will run according to the condition of the connection network on the internet, if the internet connection is poor, the setup command will be sent with up to 5 minutes, but if the internet connection is good, the setting will be sent with 10 seconds
