Abstract
Padi (Oryza sativa L.) merupakan komoditas pangan yang paling penting di Indonesia. Pemerintah telah berusaha mendukung budidaya padi melalui sejumlah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dan pengaturan harga jual. Namun perubahan iklim global menyebabkan terjadinya intrusi air laut ke daratan melalui aliran air bawah tanah dan terjadinya pencampuran air asin dan air tawar di permukaan menyebabkan salinitas di lahan tanam meningkat sehingga pertumbuhan dan produktivitas padi menurun. Penelitian ini mengukur respons morfo-fisiologi dan produktivitas kultivar padi toleran (FL478) dan peka (IR29) di lahan salin. Setiap kultivar ditanam di petak plot seluas 4x1 (4 m2) dengan tiga pengulangan pada tiap kultivar. Pengukuran dilakukan pada fase Tillering, Panicle Initiation,dan Grain Filling. Respons yang diukur mencakup tinggi, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, dan biomassa organ padi. Pengukuran Soil-Plant Analyses Development (SPAD) pada daun dilakukan untuk mengetahui total kadar Above Ground Nitrogen Content (AGNC). AGNC dibandingkan dengan berat 1000 bulir, hasil panen dan indeks panen tiap kultivar. Analisis data menggunakan Anova two-way. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Fase pertumbuhan signifikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, dan biomassa organ padi FL478 dan IR29 di lahan salin. Jenis kultivar hanya signifikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan biomassa akar. Produktivitas kultivar padi toleran salin (FL478) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kultivar padi peka (IR29). Hal ini dapat dilihat melalui korelasi positif antara jumlah anakan produktif (malai), nilai SPAD, AGNC, berat gabah dan indeks panen.

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the most important food commodity in Indonesia. The government has tried to support rice cultivation through a number of research and development (R&D) and regulation of selling prices. However, global climate change causes sea water intrusion to land through underground water flow and the mixing of salt water and fresh water on the surface causes salinity in the planting area to increase so that the growth and productivity of rice decreases. This study measures the morpho-physiological response and productivity of tolerant (FL478) and sensitive (IR29) rice cultivars in saline land. Each cultivar was planted in a 4x1 (4 m2) plot with three repetitions on each cultivar. Measurements were made in the Tillering, Panicle Initiation, and Grain Filling phases. Measured responses included height, number of leaves, number of tillers, and biomass of rice organs. Measurement of Soil-Plant Analyzes Development (SPAD) on leaves was carried out to determine the total levels of Above Ground Nitrogen Content (AGNC). AGNC was compared with 1000 grain weights, yields and harvest index per cultivar. Data analysis using Anova two-way. The results of this study indicate that the growth phase has a significant effect on height, number of leaves, number of tillers, and organs biomass of FL478 and IR29 in saline land. Cultivar type only significantly influences plant height and root biomass. The productivity of saline-tolerant rice cultivars (FL478) is higher than sensitive rice cultivars (IR29). This can be seen through the positive correlation between the number of productive tillers (panicle), SPAD value, AGNC, grain weight and harvest index.
