Abstract

Steam drum boiler adalah komponen penting didalam
boiler pada PLTU. Steam drum boiler berfungsi untuk
menghasilkan uap pemutar turbin. Kualitas uap yang dihasilkan
dipengaruhi oleh ketinggian air dan temperatur uap sehingga
perlu adanya pengendalian terhadap keduanya agar uap yang
dihasilkan memiliki kualitas sesuai standar. Pada Tugas Akhir ini,
PID Controller dirancang terlebih dahulu untuk diterapkan pada
sistem. Selanjutnya, performansi PID Controller diperbaiki
menggunakan Fractional Order PID Controller dan dilakukan
proses diskritisasi sehingga diperoleh Discrete Fractional Order
PID Controller. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, Fractional
Order PID Controller memiliki performansi terbaik diantara
ketiga pengendali tersebut untuk diterapkan pada sistem.

Steam drum boiler is an important component within a
boiler in the steam power plant. Steam drum boiler used to
produce the steam to turn the turbine. The quality of steam
affected by the water level and steam temperature therefore a
control of both aspects is needed in order to provide the
appropiated steam. In this final project, PID Controller designed
first to apply in the system. After that, the performance of PID
Controller enhanced by Fractional Order PID Controller and
discretization process resulting Discrete Fractional Order PID
Controller. According to the Final Project’s results, Fractional
Order PID Controller has the best performance among those three
controller to apply to the system.
