Abstract
Provinsi Riau merupakan salah satu provinsi penghasil CPO (Crude Palm Oil)
terbesar di Indonesia. Melalui Pelabuhan Dumai perputaran 5.803.920 ton CPO tiap tahunnya
devisa terbesar kedua setelah komoditas migas.
Sungai Siak menuju Pelabuhan Dumai.

Riau Province is one of the largest province in which produces CPO in Indonesia.
Through Dumai Port there are 5.80392 million tons pass of CPO per year occur with
transaction value up to Rp . 5 Trillion which makes CPO became the second largest foreign
exchange earner after oil and gas commodities . Siak River is the main line in Riau Province
to distribute CPO from the gardens or the oil palm processing plants to Dumai Port. The
length of river which about 300 km, winding characteristics, and the river getting swallow
every year, it takes another innovative model of CPO transportation during which only uses
barges towed by tugs . Integrated Tug Barge ( ITB ) is a good innovation to improve CPO
transportation in the Siak River to the Port of Dumai . The average payload of a fleet
company that serves the CPO distribution through the Siak River is became the value of
owner requirements or payload requirements. By using the method of Optimation design
approach, Integrated Tug Barge calculated and designed with some limits to find the value of
the minimum cost construction to build the ship using the features in Microsoft Excel.
Obtained from the optimization process, barge main size is L = 62.24 m , B = 18 m , H = 6.1
m , T = 4.74 m . While the pusher tug as a pusher is L = 22.3 m , B = 6 m , H = 3.18 m , T =
2.31 m with 2x715 HP Cartepillar Type C12 Engine . While the length of all the Integrated
Tug Barge result of merging the two designs is L = 81.9466 m.
