Abstract

Di Indonesia kebutuhan pupuk semakin meningkat namun terlalu banyaknya penggunaan pupuk anorganik dapat membahayakan tanah sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan pupuk organik yaitu dengan memanfaatkan limbah sekam dan jerami padi yang jumlahnya sangat melimpah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah sekam padi sisa media tanam jamur tiram putih, mempelajari pengaruh ratio aktifator (EM4) dan mikroba Azotobacter pada campuran jerami dan sekam padi sisa media tanam jamur tiram putih pada peningkatan unsur hara dengan variabel yaitu media tanam jamur sekam 100%, sekam : jerami (3:1), dan sekam : jerami (1:1) w/wt, dan mengamati hasil pertumbuhan tanaman yang menggunakan kompos tersebut dengan variabel ratio antara campuran sekam & jerami, dan penambahan aktifator (EM4) dan mikroba Azotobacter.. Untuk mempercepat proses pengomposan ditambahkan aktivator dengan variabel yaitu, tanpa aktivator, EM4 100%, perbandingan EM4 : Azotobacter (1:1) v/vt, dan Azotobacter 100 %. Parameter keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah penurunan kadar selulosa dan lignin, serta dilakukan analisa kandungan karbon (C), nitrogen (N), fosfor (P), dan kalium (K) yang terbentuk selama proses pengomposan. Dari hasil penelitian, penurunan kandungan selulosa dan lignin yang terbesar terjadi pada variabel sekam : jerami (3:1) sebesar 36,99% ; 38,62%. Dari hasil analisa akhir kompos didapatkan hasil terbaik yaitu pada variabel sekam : jerami (1 : 1) dengan penambahan activator EM-4 + Azotobacter dengan penurunan kadar C sebesar 49,83% dan kenaikan kadar N, P dan K sebesar 113,73% ; 3650% ; 441,94%. Dari hasil pengamatan pemupukan kompos pada tanaman, didapatkan pertambahan panjang batang dan lebar daun tanaman sawi terbesar pada variabel sekam : jerami (3 : 1) sebesar 2,3 cm ; 3,3 cm dan hasil panen terbanyak tanaman cabai yaitu pada variabel sekam 100% sebesar 4,12 gram

In Indonesia, compost needs is increasing, in other hand using anorganic compost may be harmful for the soil thus the development of using organic compost is needed by utilizing rice husk and straw which are very enormous in quantity in Indonesia. The intention of this research was to utilize waste of rice husk and straw planted by mushroom oyster mushrooms, to study the ratio effect of EM4 with Azotobacter for making compost from rice husk and straw planted by mushroom oyster mushrooms. For experiment, was carried out at various compost composition, 100 % rice husk, rice husk : straw (3:1), and rice husk : straw (1:1) w/wt, and to observe the result of plant growth that have been used compost from from rice husk and straw that have been planted by mushroom. To accelerate the composting process, addition of activators were needed, there were EM-4, and. The variables were, without activator,100 % EM-4, EM-4:Azotobacter (1:1) and 100 % Azotobacter. Parameters that became concern in this study were the reduction of cellulose dan lignin, also the analytical datas from carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phospor (P), and also potassium (K) that form before and after the composting process. From results of experiment showed the highest reduction of cellulose and lignin was on rice husk : straw (3:1) obtained 36,99% ; 38,62%. From final analisys of compost, the highest reduction of C and the highest increment of N, P, and K was obtained on rice husk : straw (1:1) added with activator EM-4:Azotobacter with 49,83% ; 113,73% ; 3650% ; 441,94%. From the observation of the growth of rod plant and leaf width showed the highest was on rice husk : straw (3:1) with 2,3 cm ; 3,3 cm and the most harvested chili was on 100% rice husk obtained 4,12 gram
