Abstract

Proses perancangan produk menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam menentukan
efisiensi biaya dan waktu produksi. Terutama jika produk tersebut terdiri dari banyak
komponen penyusun seperti Rotor Head Gyroplane milik PT. Bayu Aircraft
Indonesia.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa desain sangat berpengaruh
pada keseluruhan aspek produk, salah satunya pada tingkat kesulitan perakitan suatu
produk.Analisa yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisa Design for
Assembly (DFA) pada software Design Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Boothroyd
dan Dewhurst.Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi komponen penyusun
dan tahapan perakitan rotor head. Kemudian menganalisa desain awal yang telah digunakan
oleh perusahaan untuk mendapatkan data terkait minimum part criteria, labor time, labor
cost, assembly tool/fixture, item costs, total cost dan DFA indeks. Selanjutnya menganalisa
desain perbaikan rotor head dari hasil Focus Group Discussion.Kemudian membandingkan
secara keseluruhan untuk mendapatkan desain terbaik berdasarkan konsep DFA.Hasil analisa
menunjukkan bahwa desain perbaikan memiliki efisiensi perakitan lebih tinggi dibandingkan
dengan desain awal. Hal itu ditunjukkan pada peningkatan DFA Indeks, di mana pada desain
awal adalah 1,58 dan pada desain perbaikan menjadi 2,14. Untuk waktu pengerjaan dan biaya
tenaga kerja dapat direduksi masing-masing sebanyak 23,34% dan 23,68%. Sistem perakitan
ini juga menjadi lebih meningkat dengan dilakukannya perbaikan layout kerja dan
penambahan fixture.Di mana dapat meningkatkan DFA Indeks menjadi 2,24 dan mereduksi
waktu pengerjaan serta biaya tenaga kerja masing-masing sebanyak 49,84% dan 34,21%. Hal
tersebut membuktikan bahwa perancangan desain suatu produk memiliki pengaruh penting
terhadap tingkat kesulitan perakitan dan produksinya

The design process the product being of crucial importance in determining of cost
efficiency and production time . Especially if that product consisting of many components
building blocks as the RotorHeadGyroplane owned by PT . Bayu Aircraft Indonesia. The cost
and labor time of the assembly process as well as the labor costs incurred to assemble the
product of obstruction depend on the level of difficulty and the number of components that
must be assembled. This study aims to prove that the design is very influential on the overall
aspects of the product, one of them on the level of difficulty of assembling a product.
The analysis performed in this study is done using analysis Design for Assembly
(DFA) on software Design Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) Boothroyd and Dewhurst.
The first step is to identify the constituent components and rotor head assembly stages as
well as references to other related. Then analyze the initial design has been used by
companies to obtain data related to minimum criteria parts, labor time, labor cost, assembly
tool / fixture, item costs, total costs and DFA index. Next is to analyze the design of
improvement rotor head from the Focus Group Discussion based on aspects of the analysis
in the early design. Then compare overall to get the best design based on the concept of
DFA.
The analysis result showed that the initial design can be improved to increase the
efficiency of the assembly. It was shown in the increase in DFA index, in which the initial
design was 1,58 and the design of improvements to be 2,14. For working time and labor
costs can be reduced as much as respectively 23.68% 23.34% and. The assembly system also
be further improved by the work done layout improvements and additions to the fixture.
Where can increase the DFA index becomes 2,24 and reducing processing time and labor
costs each as much as 49.84% and 34.21%. It is proved that designing a product has a
significant influence on the level of difficulty of assembly and production
