Abstract
Energi listrik yang banyak kita gunakan sebagian besar dihasilkan dengan memakai bahan bakar fosil sebagai energi utamanya yaitu batubara. Kualitas batubara merupakan salah satu penyebab yang dapat mempengaruhi performa unit Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasokan listrik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh penambahan beban terhadap konsumsi spesifik batubara, heat rate, laju aliran massa batubara dan efisiensi serta untuk mengetahui biaya produksi listrik dengan bahan bakar batubara pada PLTU Tanjung Awar-Awar Unit 1.
Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggibeban/daya yang dibangkitkan maka terjadi penurunan konsumsi spesifik batubaradengan nilai rata-rata SFC 0,59 kg/kWh dan least square 0,59 kg/kWh, semakin besar daya yang dibangkitkan maka terjadi penurunan heat rate(HR Brutto 2.667,50 kCal/kWh dan least square 2.667,50 kCal/kWh), (HR Netto 2.886 kCal/kWh dan least square 2.872,81 kCal/kWh), serta laju aliran massa batubara bulananpada (Januari-Juni 2015) rata-rata 182,604 ton/jam dan least square 182,604 ton/jam. Dengan menggunakan metode least square, estimasi parameter hasil perhitungan memiliki selisih ± 0,002 % sehingga dapat mewakili sistem. Selain itu, dengan daya maksimal sebesar 350 MW diperoleh biaya produksi batubara minimal Rp 397,996 per kWh dan Rp 30,15 Milyar per tahun.

Much electrical energy we use is mostly generated by using fossil fuels as its primary energy coal. The coal quality is one of the causes that can affect the performance of the unit Steam Power (power plant) in meeting the needs of power supply. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of adding to the burden of the specific consumption of coal, heat rate, mass flow rate of coal and efficiency as well as to determine the production cost of electricity with coal fuel in Tanjung Awar-Awar plant Unit 1.
The analysis showed that the higher the load / power generated then a decline in the specific consumption of coal with an average SFC value of 0,59 kg / kWh and least square 0,59 kg / kWh, the greater the power generated then decrease heat rate ( HR Brutto 2667,50 kCal / kWh and least square 2667,50 kCal / kWh), (HR 2886 Netto kCal / kWh and least square 2872,81 kCal / kWh), and the mass flow rate of coal monthly (January to June 2015) an average of 182.604 tons / hour and the least square 182.604 tons / hour. By using the least squares method, parameter estimation calculation result has a difference of ± 0,002 so as to represent the system. In addition, with a maximum power of 350 MW obtained coal production costs at least Rp 397,996 in kWh and Rp 30,15 billion in year.
