Abstract
Seiring pertumbuhan penduduk Indonesia yang semakin pesat dan berbanding
lurus pula dengan tingginya tingkat laju perpindahan penduduk di Indonesia. Manusia
akan cenderung berpindah ke tempat yang paling nyaman baik untuk memenuhi
kebutuhan hidup ataupun hanya keinginannya. Maka kebutuhan untuk menfasilitasi
manusia dalam bermobilitas menjadi penting. Secara khusus tujuan perancangan ini
adalah menyediakan atau menfasilitasi penduduk yang sedang melakukan mobilitas
secara tidak permanen dalam wadah arsitektur. Rancangan dari rest area ini
menciptakan fasilitas yang nyaman bagi para pengguna jalan untuk dapat berelaxasi,
dan beristirahat senyaman mungkin. Metode perancangan menggunakan metode dari
John Zeizel Metode ini sangat efektif digunakan saat merancang, karena prosesnya
yang selalu mengevaluasi dari setiap prosesnya. Hasil perancangan menunjukan
bahwa : Rancangan ruang luar dan ruang dalam yang menggunakan pendekatan
arsitektur bioklimatik dapat menjadi pengguna merasa rilex dan menjadi daya tarik.

As Indonesia's population is growing rapidly and is also directly proportional
to the high rate of migration in Indonesia, people tend to move to the most convenient
place to meet their needs or just to fulfill their desire to move wherever they want.
Hence, the need to facilitate human mobility becomes essential. In particular, the
objective of design is to provide or facilitate mobility of people who are doing nonpermanent
basis in space of architecture. The design of this rest area creates a
comfortable facility for all traffic users in order to relax and rest as comfortable as
possible. The design method used is John Zeizel method. This method is very
effective to be used during designing, since this method was evaluating every process
taken. The results of the design showed that: The design of exterior and interior space
in which using bioclimatic architecture approach can introduce relaxing atmosphere
to users and it can become the main attraction.
