Abstract
Bumper merupakan bagian pengaman dari kendaraan yang
memiliki berat cukup besar.
impact test sesuai standar pengujian ECE Regulation no 42.
Penelitian ini berbasis simulasi menggunakan software finite
element
Kemampuan menyerap
energi setiap profil memiliki prosentase nilai diatas 98 %.
Bedasarkan tegangan maksimum material yaitu sebesar 121,29
Mpa, B1 profil dengan ketebalan 7mm dan 8 mm aman
digunakan dengan nilai tegangan sebesar 109,08 MPa dan
100,11 Mpa. Bumper tersebut mengalami deformasi sebesar
v
16,505 mm dan 16,047 mm dan mampu menyerap energi sebesar
99,94 % dan 99,40 %.

Bumper is part of the vehicle that has a quite large weight.
Alternative design and lightweight material of bumper is sought
to generate considerable efficiency in a vehicle. Therefore, this
research aims to determine the ability of variation bumper profile
which is effected of impact, ie B, C and O profile with customized
geometry on MPV car in Indonesia.
In this research, impact analysis of variation profile in
bumper reinforcement beam using epoxy composite material with
a composition of particle 16% HGM has been analysed. Bumper
with thickness variation is given to a low-speed impact testing
refers to standard ECE Regulation No. 42. This research also
based on simulation using finite element software
Results of this research found the smallest to the largest
deformation values is B1, B2, O and C for each profile. Based on
stress values obtained on the thickness of 4 mm, 6mm and 8 mm,
then known that O profile with 6 mm thickness and C, O, B1
profile with 8 mm thickness is safe to use. The ability to absorb
the energy in each profile is more than 98%. When the maximum
stress material is equal to 121.29 MPa, B1 profile of 7 mm and 8
mm thickness is safe to use with a stress value at 109.08 MPa and
100.11 MPa. The bumper deformation at 16.505 mm and 16.047
mm and able to absorb energy at 99.94% and 99.40%.
