Abstract

Senyawa kompleks binuklir kobalt(II) dengan ligan (6E)-
N2-((E)-2-(6-aminopiridin-2-ilimino)-1,2-difeniletilidin)piridin-
2,6-diamina telah berhasil disintesis menggunakan metode
refluks. Kristal yang diperoleh berwarna oranye dan berbentuk
jarum kecil. Senyawa kompleks tersebut dapat menyerap warna
pada panjang gelombang maksimum 460 nm. Hasil analisis
menggunakan elemental analyzer dan AAS menunjukkan bahwa
kompleks yang terbentuk memiliki rumus molekul [Co2((6E)-N2-
((E)-2-(6-aminopiridin-2-ilimino)-1,2-difeniletilidin)piridin-2,6-
diamina)2(CH3COO)4]∙H2O. Rumus molekul juga didukung
dengan data TGA yang menunjukkan dekomposisi air kristal pada
suhu 105-120 °C. Spektrum FTIR menunjukkan puncak khas
vibrasi C=N dan Co-N masing-masing pada bilangan gelombang
1658,84 cm-1 dan 418,57 cm-1. Uji toksisitas senyawa ini
dilakukan dengan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT)
dan dihasilkan nilai toksisitas LC50 sebesar 151,35 mg/L.

Binuclear cobalt(II) complex with (6E)-N2-((E)-2-(6-
aminopyridin-2-ylimino)-1,2-diphenylethylidine)pyridin-2,6-
diamine ligand has been synthesized using reflux method. The
orange crystal produced and had needle shaped. The max
wavelenght absorbed is 460 nm. Data analysis from elemental
analyzer and AAS results show that molecular formula of
complexes is [Co2((6E)-N2-((E)-2-(6-aminopiridin-2-ilimino)-
1,2-difeniletilidin)piridin-2,6-diamina)2(CH3COO)4]∙H2O. This
molecular formula was supported by TGA analysis that show
decomposition of crystal water molecul at 105-120 °C. The FTIR
spectrum showed characteristic vibrations of C=N and Co-N at υ
= 1658,84 cm-1 and 418,57 cm-1, respectively. Toxicity test was
observed by Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method and the
LC50 value is 151,35 mg/L.
