Abstract
Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda Surabaya
memberikan pelayanan jasa kebandarudaraan dengan menjaga
kenyamanan, keselamatan, dan keamanan pengguna jasa. Salah
satu komponen terpenting dalam memberikan pelayanan pada
pengguna jasa adalah sistem penanganan bagasi. Sistem
penanganan bagasi di Terminal 2 Juanda masih menggunakan
manual, Untuk mengetahui penanganan bagasi pada terminal 2
saat ini diperlukan beberapa peninjauan langsung untuk
mengetahui berapa jumlah arus pergerakan bagasi, dan
bagaimana kinerja penanganan bagasi eksisting pada terminal 2
Bandara Juanda. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan
pengamatan penerbangan selama 1(satu) hari dan pengumpulan
data pergerakan lalu lintas bandara Juanda 2010-2015. Tugas
akhir ini menganalisis kinerja penanganan bagasi eksisting di
terminal 2 serta merencanakan penanganan bagasi dengan hold
baggage screening. Hold Baggage Screening merupakan
integrasi lengkap antara Bagasi Sistem Penanganan Conveyor
dan Mesin Xray terletak pada satu garis, mesin xray berguna
untuk mendeteksi keamanan pada bagasi namun tetap berada belt
conveyor.
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pergerakan yang berangkat
melalui terminal 2 adalah 6.840 pax, 57 flights, dan 4.419 bags,
waktu minimal yang dibutuhkan memroses bagasi setelah check
in sampai ke pesawat 76 menit 53detik dan maksimal 115 menit
27 detik. Rata-rata bagasi yang dibawa setiap penumoang adalah

2buah. Luas area penanganan bagasi pada terminal 2 adalah
585 m² dengan kemampuan menangani bagasi sebanyak 403
bags/jam. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut, maka pada terminal
2 disarankan menggunakan sistem penanganan bagasi otomatis
dan untuk dapat menerapkan system penanganan bagasi otomatis
dengan hold baggage screening diperlukan conveyor inline dan
mesin hold baggage screening
======================================================================== Juanda International Airport Surabaya (SUB) provides
essential services to the passengers and makes sure that they feel
comfort, safe and secure. Baggage handling system is one of the
essential services that must be fulfilled by the airport to the
passengers. Terminal 2 uses conventional baggage handling
system. To analyze the characteristic of baggage handling system
at terminal 2, direct survey and observation are required. The
observation showed the process of existing baggage handling
system works at terminal 2 Juanda International Airport and
collecting traffic data on the period of 2010 - 2015. This research
focuses on how to analyze the performance of existing baggage
handling at terminal 2 and how to plan baggage handling using
hold baggage screening. Hold baggage screening is combination
of Xray technology, conveyor design, and control systems with all
three elements working seamlessly together.
The results showed that the movement of departing
through the terminal 2 is 6,840 pax , 57 flights, and 4,419 bags ,
the minimum time required to process luggage after check -in to
the air 76 minutes 53detik and a maximum of 115 minutes and 27
seconds . The average baggage carried by each passengers is two
bags . The area of baggage handling at terminal 2 is 585 m² with
baggage handling capacity 403 bags / hour. Based on that
capacity, Terminal 2 is suggested to use the automatic baggage
handling system and then to implement the automated baggage

handling system with hold baggage screening, It required inline
conveyor and hold baggage screening machines
