Abstract

berbagai segi, seperti perancangan, hidrodinamika, struktur maupun produksi.
I, Some Systematically Varied Ship Forms
and Their Hydrostatic Data (1962).
terjadinya slamming, intensitas slamming, beban slamming, tegangan dan fatigue life.
lambung V.
================================================================================ Sectional shapes of the ship’s hull have different characteristics from various aspects,
such as design, hydrodynamics, structure and production. It causes differences the ship’s
motion in the sea, one of them causes the dynamic effect that is called slamming. The
slamming is a recurrent dynamic load, where it can cause fatigue on the structure. Therefore,
the differences on hull form would result that the slamming probability, the slamming intensity
and the slamming loads are different, where they affect to stress and fatigue on structure.
This final project analyzes the comparison fatigue caused slamming load with finite element
method for hull form V and U on FORMDATA I, Some Systematically Varied Forms and
Their Ship Hydrostatic Data (1962). The calculations are varied on speed 8 knots (at below
speed service), 12 knots (speed service) and 16 knots (at above speed service). They show
that the greater of speed, cause the greater slamming probability, the greater slamming
intensity, the greater slamming load, the greater stress and the greater fatigue life. the hull U
has that the slamming probability, the slamming intensity and the slamming load are greater
than V. For the same load, the hull U has that the stress value is smaller than V, and the
fatigue life is longer than V.
