Abstract

Vertical axis multiple turbine merupakan instalasi beberapa turbin sumbu vertikal. Pada pembangkit listrik tenaga arus laut untuk instalasi vertical axis multiple turbine dibutuhkan sebuah array. Array adalah susunan konfigurasi dari beberapa turbin yang terpasang dalam satu kesatuan dengan formasi dan jarak antar turbin yang telah direncanakan. Perancanggan array of vertical axis multiple turbine selain untuk meningkatkan performa turbin juga untuk menekan biaya monitoring dan perawatan oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penentuan jarak antar turbin, berdasarkan jarak wake terpanjang yang mencapai 1,15 m pada kecepatan 2,5 m/s maka ditentukan jarak antar domain tabung pada turbin sebesar 3D (1,2 m) dan dilakukan simulasi dengan software ansys yang menghasilkan performansi tertinggi pada array 2 saat kecepatan arus laut 2,5 m/s dengan nilai sebagai berikut force 1326,9438 N, torque 265,3888 Nm dan power 2455,5183 Watt.

At the power plant of ocean currents for the installation of multiple vertical axis turbine required a array. Array is configuration arrangement of several turbines that installed in a single unit with the formation and the distance between turbines that planned. Design array of multiple vertical axis turbine in addition to improving the performance of the turbine is also to reduce the cost of monitoring and maintenance therefore necessary to determine the distance between turbines, based on the longest distance wake reached 1.15 m at a speed of 2.5 m /s so determined distance between tube domain at the turbine of 3D (1.2 m) and conducted simulations with ANSYS software that produce the highest performance on the array 2 when the speed of ocean currents 2,5 m / s with the following values force 1326.9438 N, torque 265.3888 Nm and power 2455.5183 Watt.
