Abstract

Penelitian ini diterapkan pada material grafit fiber dan resin epoxy. Dilengkapi dengan adhesives resin epoxy. Beberapa parameter yang digunakan ialah panjang overlap serta ketebalan pelat dimana respon yang terkait yaitu kekuatan sambungan dan ketahanan vibrasi. Software numerik yang digunakan ANSYS workbench. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dengan penambahan panjang overlap. Untuk analisa kekuatan sambungan, adanya variasi penambahan panjang overlap mampu meningkatkan kekuatan secara konsisten pada ketebalan 2 mm namun mengalami penurunan dengan ketebalan 2,27; 2,54mm, dan mengalami penurunan pada penambahan panjang overlap 60 mm. Sehingga pada penelitian ini dihasilkan bahwa untuk variasi lainnya, terdapat nilai optimalnya. Untuk analisa ketahanan vibrasi, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa dengan penambahan variasi panjang overlap serta ketebalan adherend mampu meningkatkan nilai natural frekuensi yang mana meningkatkan ketahanan vibrasinya.

This research is applied to graphite fiber and epoxy resin materials. Equipped with epoxy resin adhesive. Some parameters used are overlap length and plate thickness while the responses are their joint strength and vibration resistance. The numerical software used is ANSYS workbench. The simulation results show the influence with the addition of overlap length. For analyze the strength of the adhesives, the variation in the addition of overlap length can increase the strength consistently at thickness with 2 mm but decreasing strength while addition the thickness were 2,27; 2,54 mm and also decreasing while adding overlap length 60 mm. However, this research resulted that for other variations, there have optimal values. For vibration resistance analysis, it can be concluded that by adding variations in overlap length and thickness of the adherend can increase the value of the natural frequency which increases the vibration resistance.
