Abstract

Pada penelitian kali ini dilakukan percobaan penggunaan inhibitor organik yaitu obat isoniazid terhadap Baja ASTM A106 Grade B pada lingkungan asam yaitu pH 2 dan pH 4. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu penambahan konsentrasi 0 ppm, 1900 ppm, 2100 ppm, 2300 ppm dan 2500 ppm dengan lama waktu perendaman setiap konsentrasi 2 hari, 4 hari, 6 hari, dam 8 hari. Pengukuran laju korosi menggunakan metode polarisasi. Setelah pengujian polarisasi dilakukan pengujian lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan pengujian EIS, FTIR dan SEM. Inhibitor isoniazid bekerja secara inhibitor campuran. Pada media HCl pH 2 laju korosi terendah bernilai 0.0091 mmpy dengan Efisiensi inhibitor mencapai 95.84% dan pada media HCl pH 4 laju korosi terendah bernilai 0.013 mmpy dengan efisiensi inhibitor sebesar 96,4%. Inhibitor isoniazid bekerja dengan cara bereaksi dengan HCl dan sebagian menempel pada permukaan logam dengan melibatkan adsorpsi fisika. Mekanisme kerja Inhibitor isoniazid bekerja secara katodik.

In this experiment, a research related by using isoniazid drug on Steel ASTM A106 Grade B in acidic media pH 2 and pH 4. The variables used are the addition of concentration of 0 ppm, 1900 ppm, 2100 ppm, 2300 ppm, and 2500 ppm with immers time for each concentration is 0 day, 2 days, 4 days, 6 days and 8 days. The corrosion rate is determine using polarization, furthur testing using EIS, FTIR and SEM. Isoniazid inhibitor act as a mixing inhibitor. In HCl pH 2, the lowest corrosion rate is 0.0091 mmpy with efficiency up to 95.84% and in HCl pH 4 the lowest corrosion rate is 0.013 mmpy with efficiency up to 96.4%. Inhibitors isoniazid work by reacting with HCl and partially sticking to metal surfaces with physical adsorption. Mechanism Inhibitor isoniazid act with katodic inhibitors.
