Abstract

Sungai memiliki fungsi sebagai media berlangsungnya proses geomorfologi, baik berupa erosi, transportasi dan sedimentasi. Proses sedimentasi itu sendiri dalam konteks hubungan dengan sungai meliputi, penyempitan palung, erosi, transportasi sedimentasi (transport sediment), pengendapan (deposition), dan pemadatan (compaction) dari sedimen itu sendiri. Besarnya volume sedimen terutama tergantung pada perubahan kecepatan aliran. Sebagai akibat dari perubahan volume sedimen adalah terjadinya penggerusan dibeberapa tempat serta terjadinya juga pengendapan pada dasar sungai yang nantinya dapat mempengaruhi perubahan dasar sungai. Keberadaan sedimen yang berlebih dapat mempengaruhi karakteristik dan menimbulkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan manusia, seperti banjir dan penurunan kualitas air. Lokasi studi ini terletak di Sungai Batui, Sulawesi Tengah. Lokasi studi yang dimaksud berada pada Lengkung Sungai Batui, Sisipan,Batui, Kabupaten Banggai, Sulawesi Tengah dengan koordinat 1°17'14.2"S 122°31'54.8"E. Pada lokasi studi ini, Sungai Batui,Sulawesi Tengah terdapat kelokan sungai di bagian hilir, yang terancam gerusan pada tebing sisi kanan terluar akibat arus kuat. Untuk itu dibutuhkan penanganan yang efektif sebagai antisipasi gerusan tersebut. Metodologi yang digunakan diawali dari analisa kondisi lapangan / perumusan dan pengumpulan data. Data-data diolah untuk mendapatkan analisa debit rencana, kapasitas sungai, mengetahui besaran transport sedimen. Dari data tersebut akan dimodelkan ke aplikasi Surface Water Modeling System (SMS)untuk mengetahui permodelan arus dan permodelan sebaran sedimen di penampang sungai. Dari hasil permodelan pada aplikasi SMS diharapkan mendapat 5 model alternative bangunan pengendali geometri lengkung sungai yang efektif untuk menahan arus dan sedimen di lengkung sungai. Hasil analisis yang didapat adalah debit periode ulang 25 tahun atau Q25 adalah sebesar 2440.02 m3/s. Uji efektivitas bangunan pengendali geometri lengkung sungai ditinjau dari dua hal yaitu berdasarkan kecepatan dan sedimen. Dari parameter kecepatan permodelan bangunan kedua mampu mereduksi kecepatan dari kondisi existing menjadi lebih kecil pada setiap bangunannya, sedangkan dari parameter sedimen permodelan ketiga mampu menampung sedimen paling banyak disetiap permodelan bangunannya.

The river has a function as a medium for the ongoing geomorphological process, either in the form of erosion, transportation and sedimentation. The process of sedimentation itself in the context of the relationship with the river includes narrowing of the trough, erosion, transportation of sedimentation, deposition, and compaction of the sediment itself. The amount of sediment volume depends mainly on changes in flow velocity. As a result of changes in sediment, the volume is the occurrence of scouring in several places as well as the occurrence of sedimentation on the riverbed which can later affect changes in the river bed. Excessive sediment can affect characteristics and cause problems related to human life, such as floods and water quality degradation. The location of this study is located in Sungai Batui, Central Sulawesi. The location of the study referred to is located on the Batui River Arch, Sisipan, Batui, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi with coordinates 1 ° 17'14.2 "S 122 ° 31'54.8" E. At the location of this study, Batui River, Central Sulawesi, there is a bend in the river downstream, which is threatened by scouring on the outer right bank of the cliff due to strong currents. For this reason, effective handling is needed to anticipate the scouring. The methodology used begins with the analysis of field conditions/formulation and data collection. The data is processed to get the analysis of plan discharge, river capacity, knowing the amount of sediment transport. From this data, it will be modelled to the Surface Water Modeling System (SMS) application to determine the flow modelling and sediment distribution modelling at the river cross-section. From the results of modelling in the SMS application, it is expected to get 5 alternative models of building curvilinear geometry control structures that are effective for holding currents and sediments in river curves. The analysis results obtained are the return period of 25 years or Q25 of 2440.02 m3/s. The effectiveness test of river curvilinear geometry building is evaluated from two things, based on velocity and sediment. The velocity parameters of the second building modelling can reduce the velocity of the existing conditions to be smaller in each building, while the third modelling sediment parameters can accommodate the most sediment in each building model.
