Abstract
Tanaman jinten hitam (Nigella sativa) diketahui mengandung berbagai senyawa aktif pembawa sifat obat. Dalam penelitian ini minyak atsiri N. Sativa diperoleh dari biji N. sativa lokal Indonesia melalui metode hidrodestilasi dengan rendemen sebanyak 0,13%. Analisis minyak atsiri N. sativa dilakukan dengan instrumen kromatografi gas-spektroskopi massa (KG-SM) dan ditemukan total 23 senyawa, yaitu β-pinena; (+)-4-carena; p-simena; γ-terpinena, linalool; bornanon; estragol; 2-metil-3-fenil propanal; anethol; safrol; 2,6,6,9-tetrametil-, (1R,2S,7R,8R)-trisiklo[5.4.0.0 (2,8)]undek-9-ena; 1,2,4- meteno-1H-indena, oktahidro-1,7a-dimetil -5-(1-metiletil)- [1S- (1ɑ, 2ɑ, 3aβ, 4ɑ, 5ɑ, 7aβ, 8S*)]-isoledena; ɑ-copaena; longifolena; kariofilena; 1-(1,5-dimetil-4-heksenil)-4-metil-benzena; 1,5-dimetil-8-(1-metiletilidene)-, (E,E)-1,5-siklodekadiena; 3,7-dimetil-10-(1-metiletilidene)-, (E,E)-3,7-siklodekadien-1-one; asam tetradekanoat; asam n-heksadekanoat; metil ester 9,12-oktadekanoat; asam linoleat; asam oleat. Beradasarkan data analisis, senyawa dominan yang terkandung dalam N. sativa adalah p-simena dengan luas area 8,97.

Black cumin or Nigella sativa known have much active compounds that have medicinal properties. In this study, essential oil of Indonesia’s N. sativa, obtained by hydrodestillation with clevenger apparatus and have 0,14 % of essential oil. The essential oil was determined by GC-MS. Total 23 compound have been identified in esential oil, and all of the compound is p-simena; β-pinene; (+)-4- carene; γ-terpinene; linalool; (+)-2-Bornanone; estragole; 4-(1-methylethyl)-benzaldehyde; anethole; safrole; ɑ-copaene; longifolene; caryophyllene; 1-(1,5-dimethyl-4-hexenyl)-4-methyl benzene; 1,5- dimethyl- 8-(1-methyl ethylidene)-, (E,E) -1,5-cyclodecadiene 2,6,6,9 -tetramethyl- (1R, 2S,7R,8R) -tricyclo [5.4.0.0(2,8)] undec-9-ene; 1,2,4-metheno-1H-indene octahydro-1,7a-dimethyl-5-(1-methylethyl) -[1S-(1ɑ, 2ɑ, 3ɑβ, 4ɑ, 5ɑ, 7ɑβ, 8S*)]-isoledene; tetradecanoic acid, n-hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester 9,12-octadecadienoic acid, linoleadic acid, oleic acid. Based on data from analysis, the major compound in Indonesia’s N. sativa is p-simena with percentage of area is 8,97.
