Abstract

Pengaruh NaOH dalam sintesis ZSM-5 telah dipelajari dalam penelitian ini. Sintesis ZSM-5 secara langsung dari kaolin Bangka tanpa templat organik dilakukan dengan variasi molar NaOH (0,01; 0,015 dan 0,02 mol). Dalam penelitian ini, ZSM-5 disintesis dengan komposisi molar 10 Na2O : 120 SiO2 : 2 Al2O3 : 1800 H2O menggunakan metode hidrotermal pada suhu 175°C. Hasil padatan dianalisis menggunakan teknik Difraksi Sinar-X (XRD), Spektroskopi Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) dan Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) yang menunjukkan bahwa ZSM-5 pada rasio molar NaOH 0,01 mulai terbentuk. Pada rasio molar NaOH 0,02 terbentuk ZSM-5 dengan kristalinitas paling tinggi yaitu 60,41%. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis SEM-EDX semua sampel dengan variasi molar NaOH 0,01; 0,015 dan 0,02 memiliki perbandingan Si/Al antara 7,31-11,23 dengan morfologi berupa agregat yang memiliki siku tajam, kecuali sampel dengan variasi 0,01 mol yang memiliki bentuk tidak teratur.

Effect of NaOH in the synthesis of ZSM-5 has been studied in this research. The synthesis of ZSM-5 directly from kaolin Bangka without organic template is done with variation of molar NaOH (0,01 ; 0,015 and 0,02 mol) . In this study, ZSM-5 synthesized with molar composition 10 Na2O : 120 SiO2 : 2 Al2O3 : 1800 H2O using hydrothermal method at a temperature of 175°C. Solid results were analyzed using the technique of X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) indicating that the ZSM-5 at a molar ratio of 0,01 NaOH began to take shape, NaOH molar ratio of 0,02 is formed ZSM-5 crystallinity deangan highest of 60,41%. In addition, based on SEM-EDX analysis of all samples with a variation of 0,01 molar NaOH ; 0,015 and 0,02 have a ratio of Si/Al between 7,31 to 11,23 with morphology in the form of aggregates that have sharp elbows, except for samples with a variation of 0,01 moles that have irregular shapes.
