Abstract
perhitungan biaya operasional kemudian tahap perbandingan biaya.
Mechanical Propulsion yaitu sebesar
158.400 liter per tahun. Untuk perbedaan biaya bahan bakar Diesel
Electric Propulsion lebih hemat dibandingkan Diesel Mechanical
Propulsion yaitu sebesar Rp. 522,699,800 pertahun.
4,551,695,688. Penggunaan system Diesel Electrical Propulsion lebih
menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan Diesel Mechanical propulsion.
Dikarenakanmesin yang dipakai DieselMechanical adalah mesin lama.

Indonesia is a country with vast seas were quite large and
surrounded by some of the larger islands and islets. Thus the necessary
means of transport, especially sea transport. In this thesis analyzed the
ship that is a passenger ferry with cruise Surabaya-Madura. A ferry has
several modes of operation including full mode, Idle Mode and
Continuous Mode. Boats used in this final project is a passenger ferry
Jokotole that uses a conventional diesel system. In this thesis the author
analyzes the components of any kind are in maintenance, a comparison
of fuel consumption and operating costs of each mode on Diesel
Mechanical Propulsion and Electrical Propulsion Diesel. In this final
project the data collection phase, the formulation of the problem, the
operational cost calculation stage later stage cost comparison. From the
analysis in this paper shows that the fuel consumption for Diesel Electric
Propulsion more efficient than Diesel Mechanical Propulsion amounting
to 158 400 liters per year. For the difference in cost of fuel Diesel
Electric Propulsion more efficient than Diesel Mechanical Propulsion is
Rp. 522,699,800 per year. For the total difference in operating costs
which include the cost of maintenance and fuel system Electrical
Propulsion Diesel and Diesel Mechanical Propulsion within a span of 5
years is Rp. 4,551,695,688. Use of Electrical Propulsion Diesel system
is more profitable than Diesel Mechanical propulsion. Due to
Mechanical Diesel engine used is the old machine.
