Abstract

3 ruang penumpang mencapai 100% memenuhi kriteria suhu
udara nyaman menurut ISO7547. Sedangkan ketika
menggunakan AC split, hanya ruang penumpang-2 yang
distribusi suhu udaranya 100% memenuhi kriteria. Ruang
penumpang-1 79.1% memenuhi kriteria, dan ruang penumpang-3
88% memenuhi kriteria. Perbedaan konsumsi daya antara
penggunaan kedua jenis AC tersebut sangat signifikan. AC central membutuhkan total daya 28 kW, sedangkan AC split
membutuhkan daya 45.17kW. Pada jalur utama duct system AC
central yaitu pada titik A-M terdapat kendala keterbatasan space
ruang untuk instalasi ducting dengan ukuran1.5m x 1m.
Sedangkan duct system AC split tidak mengalami kendala

Convenience is one of the main factors that is considered by
providers of transport modes. Maintaining a comfortable air
temperature conditions continuously during ship operation is a
must. On the other hand the operational cost is also a
consideration. Operational costs is related to the power
consumption by the cooling system. To achieve a comfortable air
conditions in the pioneer passenger ship 750 TDW, then made
comparisons between the use of air conditioning design central
and split air conditioners. Comparing the terms of the cold air
distribution by using Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis.
Power consumption also made comparisons between the two
types of air conditioner use. From the analysis it is known that the
best application of air conditioning system design in three
passenger spaces is when using a central air conditioner. The
distribution of cold air in the passenger compartment-3 reaches
100% complied the criteria of ISO7547. Meanwhile, when using
the split air conditioner, only passenger compartment-2 which
100% complied the criteria. Passenger space-1 79.1% complied
the criteria, and the passenger room-3 88% complied the criteria.
Power consumption difference between the two types of air
conditioning usage is very significant. Central air conditioning requires a total power of 28 kW, meanwhile the split AC power
required 45.17kW. On the main duct system of central air
conditioning there is limited space for duct installation (1.5m x
1m size), it is at point A-M . While the duct system of split air
conditioner does not run into obstacles.
