Abstract
Jerami merupakan limbah hasil panen pertanian yang jumlahnya sangat melimpah khususnya di Indonesia. Pemanfaatan jerami padi belum dilakukan secara optimal padahal jerami padi memiliki potensi sebagai bahan baku biogas. Selain jerami padi, kulit kopi dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku produksi biogas karena memiliki kandungan selulosa yang tinggi yaitu sekitar 63%. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dalam reaktor batch dengan volume kerja 3,6 L. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan produksi biogas yang dihasilkan dari jerami padi dan kulit kopi dengan menggunakan mikroorganisme berupa kotoran sapi, cairan rumen, dan effective microorganism (EM). Penambahan EM dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas biogas karena mampu menurunkan kadar H2S pada produksi biogas. Produksi metana tertinggi dihasilkan dari subtrat jerami padi dibandingkan kulit kopi yaitu pada variabel jerami padi dengan penambahan rumen 15% yaitu sebesar 127305 ppm. Prose absorpsi CO2 dengan larutan K2CO3 dengan promotor DEA pada suhu 353 K menyerap CO2 paling tinggi dibandingkan suhu liquid 313 K dan 333 K dengan konsentrasi 230480 ppm dan meningkatkan kadar CH4 sebesar 16,54% .

Straw is a waste of agricultural crops that number is very abundant, especially in Indonesia. Utilization of rice straw is not optimal when the rice straw has potential as a biogas feedstock. In addition to rice straw, coffee skin can be used as raw material for the production of biogas because it has a high cellulose content is about 63%. This research was conducted in a batch reactor with a working volume of 3.6 L. This study was conducted to compare the production of biogas produced from rice straw and coffee skin by using microorganisms such as cow manure, rumen fluid, and effective microorganism (EM). EM additions made to improve the quality of biogas is able to reduce the levels of H2S in biogas production. The highest methane production resulting from rice straw substrate than coffee skin is at variable JP-R 15% amounting to 127 305 ppm. Prose CO2 absorption promoter with a solution of K2CO3 with diethanolamine (DEA) at a temperature of 353 K to absorb CO2 than the highest liquid temperature 313 K and 333 K with a concentration of 230480 ppm and increasing the levels of CH4 amounted to 16,54%.
