Abstract

The presence of mangroves over the Wonorejo mangrove regions in Surabaya began to be threatened by environmental activities that increased organic waste production. One environmental parameter, nitrate (NO3) was high. This increase could threaten the health of mangrove one of them were R. mucronata. To learn about the health of mangrove R.mucronata can be seen from their adaptive ability through the parameters of the leaf chlorophyll, N leaf, and rate of photosynthesis and the relationship of these three parameters with N soil. The result of measuring the parameters that there was a significant difference in the average value of chlorophyll, N leaves, and rate of photosynthesis of R. mucronata between station 2 with station 1, and stasun 2 with stastion 3. But between stations 1 and 3 there was no significant difference. The highest average values at station 2 with leaf chlorophyll, leaf N, and the average photosynthetic rate were 57.67 (µg / cm2), 26.86 (g / kg), and 20.22 (µmol CO2 / m²s). The average leaf chlorophyll value at station 1 was 42.58 (µg / cm2) and station 3 was 42.00 (µg / cm2), for the average leaf N value at station 1 was 23.72 (g / kg) and station 3 is 23.58 (g / kg), and for the average photosynthetic rate at station 1 is 7.74 (µmol CO2 / m²s) and at station 3 is 7.64 (µmol CO2 / m²s). There was a positive correlation between soil N and three parameters of leaves, with increased soil content followed by increased chlorophyll of leaves, leaf N, and rate of photosynthesis.
