Abstract

Tembaga merupakan salah satu mineral yang berlimpah di Indonesia. Kementrian Perindustrian Indonesia (KIN) menargetkan bahwa pada tahun 2025, Indonesia akan menjadi negara industri tangguh dunia yang bertumpu pada tiga industri yaitu industri agro, industri alat angkut, dan industri telematika. Untuk mendukung tercapainya target ini, maka perlu dilakukan serangkaian pengolahan dan pemurnian untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah mineral tembaga nasional,. Proses pemurnian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Pyrometallurgy atau proses yang dilakukan dengan Mini Blast Furnace (MBF), dengan memerhatikan aspek seperti waktu holding, jumlah udara, laju oksigen maupun fluks yang digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan pemisahan matte dengan slag. Pada review ini telah dilakukan analisis pengaruh penambahan variasi fluks terhadap kadar kemurnian tembaga blister Berdasarkan beberapa penelitian tertentu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan fluks dapat meningkatkan secara signifikan kadar tembaga (Cu) pada proses converting. Penambahan fluks silika dan fluks dolomite didapatkan kadar Cu mencapai 95%. Penambahan fluks juga dapat mengurangi jumlah tembaga (Cu) didalam slag. Selain itu, penambahan fluks juga akan membentuk fasa slag yang berbeda-beda pula, pada fluks Silika akan lebih cenderung mengarah kepada fasa fayalit, sedangkan pada fluks dolomite, slag yang terbentuk adalah sistem slag kalsium.

Copper is one of the abundant minerals in Indonesia. The Indonesian Ministry of Industry (KIN) is targeting that by 2025, Indonesia will become a world tough industrial country based on the three (3) future reliable industries, namely the agro industry, the transportation equipment industry, and the telematics industry. To support the achievement of this target, it is necessary to carry out a series series of processing and refining to increase the added value of national copper minerals. The purification process can be carried out using the Pyrometallurgy method or the process which is carried out with Mini Blast Furnace (MBF), taking into account aspects such as holding time, the amount of air, the rate of oxygen and flux used to optimize the separation of matte with slag. In this review, an analysis of the effect of adding flux variations on the purity level of copper blister has been analyzed. Based on certain studies, it can be concluded that the addition of flux can significantly increase copper (Cu) levels in the converting process. Addition of silica flux and dolomite flux obtained Cu levels reached 95%. The addition of flux can also reduce the amount of copper (Cu) in the slag. In addition, the addition of flux will also form different slag phases as well, the silica flux will be more likely to lead to the fayalite phase, whereas in the dolomite flux, the slag formed is a calcium slag system.
