Abstract

Increased energy use causes carbon emissions to increase, this pushes to find alternative energy. Natural gas is a source of energy with low carbon emissions. However, natural gas before consumption must be completed first. In the process of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) the fractionation unit is an agreement based on the faction. LNG quality is determined by controlling a safe and profitable economic process. Plantwide control (PWC) is a control strategy for placing sensors and actuators to avoid the snowball effect. The control method chosen in this thesis uses regulatory controls (PID) as well as decentralized supervisory controls for supervisory control (MPC) and for optimization using real time optimizers. The adoption of PWC increases 5% increase in operating costs using 4 MPC to save $ 653,701 / hour with a profit of $ 123383,901 / hour and using 1 MPC can save $ 631.84 per hour with a total profit of $ 122587.04. A 5% non-PWC (PID) reduction resulted in a product price at a selling price of $ 10376 / hour, while compilation using 4 MPC a rate of increase of $ 112895 / hour as well as using 1 MPC increased by $ 10395 / hour. Application of PWC in a stable response system that is complicated by complications and decreasing IAE values.
