Abstract

PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang minyak dan gas. dengan pekerjaan vital tersebut, perlu adanya perhatian lebih lanjut terhadap koordinasi proteksi sistem kelistrikannya. Sedangkan pada koordinasi rele arus lebihnya sendiri, PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan membutuhkan peningkatan setting rele dalam segi waktu dan kemudahan. Metode Numerical Computation diajukan sebagai topik tugas akhir ini guna membantu setting sistem koordinasi proteksi,terlebih pada penentuan nilai Time Dial Setting (TDS) dan Pemilihan jenis kurva Time-Current Characteristic (TCC) di PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. Dengan diadakannya penelitian ini, diharapkan pada setting rele arus lebih nanti akan lebih mudah dalam mencari nilai setting sehingga dapat menghindari kerusakan-kerusakan pada peralatan listrik.

PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan is a company engaged in the oil and gas sector. Due to this vital work, further attention is needed to coordinate the protection of the electrical system. The coordination of overcurrent relay itself, PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan requires an increase in relay settings in terms of time and ease. The Numerical Computation method is proposed as the topic of this final project to help re-setting the protection coordination system, especially in determining the value of the Time Dial Setting (TDS) and the selection of Time-Current Characteristic (TCC) curve types at PT Pertamina RU V Balikpapan. With the holding of this research, it is expected that in the setting of overcurrent relays it will be easier to find setting values so it can to minimize the damage caused by interference and faults that occur in the system.
