Abstract

Permintaan akan minyak bumi semakin meningkat. Untuk dapat bersaing di pasar global perbaikan kualitas produk perlu ditingkatkan, proses yang diperlukan adalah naphtha hydrotreating. Naphtha hydrotreating adalah proses menghilangkan impurities berupa sulfur, nitrogen, olefin, dan senyawa logam lainnya untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas baik dan tidak mencemari lingkungan. Setiap perusahaan juga ingin meningkatkan profit dengan meminimalisir biaya produksi dan memaksimalkan produksi yang dilakukan. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah plantwide control dari Skogestad. Hasil perancangan plantwide control saat diterapkan pada gangguan naik dan turun 5% dapat menurunkan nilai overshoot, settling time, error steady state, dan IAE yang menandakan bahwa respon yang dihasilkan lebih stabil. Perancangan PWC juga mampu menurunkan penggunaan energi saat gangguan naik 5% sebesar 0,07% yaitu 88.163 kJ/jam dan saat gangguan turun 5% sebesar 0,05% yaitu 56.276 kJ/jam dan mampu meningkatkan profit saat gangguan naik 5% sebesar 71% yaitu Rp 2.160.048.715 per hari dan saat gangguan turun 5% sebesar 5,82% yaitu Rp 671.914.922 per hari dibandingkan dengan sebelum diterapkan plantwide control.

The demand for petroleum is increasing. To be able to compete in the global market, product quality improvement needs to be done, the process required is naphtha hydrotreating. Naphtha hydrotreating is the process of removing impurities in the form of sulfur, nitrogen, olefins, and other metal compounds to produce products that are of good quality and do not pollute the environment. Every company also wants to increase profits by minimizing production costs and maximizing production. The method used in this study is plantwide control from Skogestad. The results of plantwide control design when disturbances applied to ups and downs 5% can reduce the value of overshoot, settling time, steady state error, and IAE which indicates that the response produced is more stable. PWC design is also able to reduce energy use when interference increases 5%, it reduces energy about 0,07% by 88,163 kJ/h and when interference falls 5%, it reduces energy about 0,05% by 56,276 kJ/h and is able to increase profits when interference increases 5%, it increases about 71% by Rp 2,160,048,715 per day and when the disturbance dropped by 5%, it increases about 5,82% by Rp 671,914,922 per day compared to before the plantwide control was applied.
