Abstract
Kondisi sekarang ini telah membuat pola aktivitas manusia berubah. Salah satu bentuk perubahan yang paling berpengaruh adalah penggunaan gadget. Bahkan begitu banyak aktivitas yang mengharuskan manusia berada di depan komputer atau smartphone untuk waktu yang cukup lama dan statis. Efek dari kondisi tersebut adalah banyak orang mulai mengeluhkan rasa tidak enak di leher, dengan gejala nya adalah nyeri leher yang menyebar ke bahu, lengan atas, atau lengan bawah, parasthesia, dan kelemahan atau spasme otot. Kumpulan dari gejala ini selanjutnya disebut cervical root syndrome. Dari kondisi di lapangan tepatnya di RSU Haji Surabaya didapatkan data bahwa setiap minggu ada 4 sampai 8 pasien yang menjalani terapi cervical traction secara terjadwal.
Dalam pengembangan cervical traction dilakukan studi pustaka dan lapangan untuk mengetahui prinsip kerja traksi, khususnya traksi otot servikal, lalu dilakukan kajian produk eksiting terhadap mesin traksi RSU Haji Surabaya dan Comfortac Cervical Traction produksi Amerika. Selanjutnya dibuat perumusan masalah dari hasil kajian tersebut. Setelah itu dirancang desain prototype Cervical Traction multifungsi yang sesuai dengan List of Requirement yang sudah dibuat. Tahap selanjutnya adalah analisa RULA yang dilanjutkan dengan proses manufaktur dan perakitan prototype. Dan terakhir dilakukan uji fungsi prototype.
Dari hasil rancangan diperoleh desain cervical traction yang dapat digunakan pada posisi tidur terlentang dengan nilai RULA 1 dan pada posisi duduk dengan nilai RULA 1. Dan diperoleh sebuah prototype cervical traction yang nyaman dan aman digunakan laki – laki dan perempuan pada posisi tidur terlentang maupun duduk. Setelah dilakukan uji fungsi diketahui bahwa semua bagian utama prototype dapat berfungsi dengan cukup baik seperti rangka pengatur kemiringan, penggerak sandara kepala, dan sistem penjepit leher.

One of the most influential forms of change is the use of gadgets. Even so many activities that require humans to be in front of a computer or smartphone for quite a long time and static. The effect of this condition is that many people begin to complain of discomfort in the neck, with symptoms of neck pain that spreads to the shoulders, upper arms or forearms, paresthesia, and muscle weakness or spasm. This collection of symptoms is called cervical root syndrome. From the conditions in the field precisely at the Surabaya Haji Hospital it was found that every week there were 4 to 8 patients undergoing scheduled cervical traction therapy.
In developing cervical traction, literature and field studies were conducted to find out the working principle of traction, especially cervical muscle traction, then study of exciting products on the traction machine of RSU Haji Surabaya and American Comfortrac Cervical Traction. Then the problem formulation is made from the results of the study. After that, a Multifunctional Cervical Traction prototype designed by following the List of Requirements that have been made. The next step is RULA analysis followed by the manufacturing and prototype assembly process. And finally, the prototype function test is performed.
The design results obtained cervical traction design that can be used in the supine sleeping position with a value of RULA 1 and in a sitting position with a value of RULA 1. And obtained a prototype cervical traction that is comfortable and safe for use by men and women in sleep or sitting position. After the functional test, it is known that all the main parts of the prototype can function quite well such as the slope regulating frame, headrest drive, and neck brace system.
