Abstract
Kapal sebagai salah satu moda transportasi penumpang maupun barang tidak lepas dari risiko terjadinya kecelakaan. Bulk Carrier sebagai salah satu penyumbang kecelakaan kapal terbesar kedua di dunia, telah menyumbang sedikitnya 48 kecelakaan kapal Bulk Carrier pada periode 2009-2018. Sembilan diantaranya disebabkan oleh pergeseran muatan akibat likuefaksi yang berujung dengan terbaliknya kapal. Ore Carrier merupakan salah satu jenis dari Bulk Carrier yang paling banyak mengalami kecelakaan kapal akibat likuefaksi. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan studi untuk mengetahui solusi dari masalah tersebut. Seperti insiden yang terjadi pada MV. Alam Manis, Ore Carrier yang memuat nickel ore dari Filipina menuju China. Pada 12 Juli 2015 mengalami pergeseran muatan akibat likuefaksi yang mengakibatkan kapal oleng dan hampir terbalik. Dari insiden tersebut dilakukan studi berupa modifikasi ruang muat untuk mengetahui solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Modifikasi pada ruang muat meliputi, penambahan hopper tank memanjang kapal, pengaturan angle of repose, penambahan sekat memanjang di sepanjang ruang muat, penambahan sekat memanjang di ruang muat No.1, No.3, dan No.5, pengaturan distribusi muatan (ruang muat No.1 dan No.5 penuh), dan pengaturan distribusi muatan (ruang muat No.2 dan No.4 penuh). Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa stabilitas dan pengecekan stabilitas dengan peraturan dari IMO (IS Code 2008 dan IG Code). Dari enam modifikasi yang telah dilakukan, ada tiga yang memenuhi kriteria-kriteria yang disyaratkan yaitu, pengaturan angle of repose, penambahan sekat memanjang di sepanjang ruang muat, dan pengaturan distribusi muatan (ruang muat No.2 dan No.4 penuh). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tiga opsi modifikasi tersebut merupakan solusi dari insiden pergeseran muatan akibat likuefaksi yang terjadi pada MV. Alam Manis dan Ore Carrier yang mengalami insiden serupa.

The ship as one of the modes of transportation of passengers and goods can not be separated from the risk of accidents. Bulk Carrier as one of the contributors to the second largest ship accident in the world, has contributed to at least 48 Bulk Carrier ship accidents in the period 2009-2018. Nine of them were caused by shifting cargo due to faction which ended with the reversal of the ship. Ore Carrier is one type of Bulk Carrier that has the most ship accidents due to liquidation. Therefore it is necessary to study to find out the solution of the problem. Like the incident that happened to the MV. Alam Manis, Ore Carrier which loaded nickel ore from the Philippines to China. On July 12, 2015, it experienced a shift in cargo due to liquidity which resulted in a ship crumbling and almost capsizing. From the incident, a study was carried out in the form of a modification of the loading space to find out the solution of the problem. Modifications to the cargo hold include the addition of a longitudinal hopper tank, setting the angle of repose, the addition of the longitudinal bulkhead along the cargo hold, the addition of the longitudinal bulkhead in cargo hold No.1, No.3, and No.5, the arrangement of the load distribution (cargo space No.1 and No.5 full), and load distribution arrangements (full load spaces No.2 and No.4). Furthermore, stability analysis and stability checking are carried out with regulations from IMO (IS Code 2008 and IG Code). Of the six modifications that have been made, there are three that meet the required criteria, namely, the setting of angle of repose, the addition of a longitudinal bulkhead along the cargo hold, and the load distribution arrangement (full cargo spaces No.2 and No.4). It can be concluded that the three modification options are a solution to the incident load shift due to liquefaction occurring in MV. Alam Manis and Ore Carrier who experienced a similar incident.
