Abstract

Biodiversity Park is a reserve area for natural biological resources outside the forest area that has an in-situ and / or ex-situ conservation function, especially for plants that pollinate and / or scatter their seeds must be assisted by animals. To determine the carrying capacity of the environment, it is necessary to do a test based on biological indicators, in this case birds pollinators and seed dispersers.
This study aims to determine the diversity and environmental carrying capacity of birds that play a role in the process of pollination and seed dispersal. The method used in this research is to use the Shannon-Wienner diversity index (H ') and the calculation of the percentage of feed groups that play a role in the process of pollination and seed dispersal. The data used are secondary data containing serial data on bird abundance from monitoring conducted in 2016 until 2019. Location observations were made in Block I and Block VIII Taman Kehati, East Java Province.
The results of this study indicate that found 35 species of birds with a level of diversity 'moderate' (H' value between 2.558 to 2.660) with 8 types of feeding guild. There are 14 species of bird pollinators and seed dispersers, with the dominant species were Sooty-headed bulbul as frugivores and Spotted dove belongs to granivores bird. Of the 44 plant families found, 23 are a potential food source for pollinators and seed dispersers, including the Moraceae, Fabaceae and Poaceae families.
