Abstract
Dunia industri memegang peran penting dalam era pembangunan di Indonesia khususnya sektor infrastruktur. Salah satu industri yang menjadi industri strategis sebagai bahan baku penting pembangunan infrastruktur yaitu industri semen. PT XYZ merupakan salah satu produsen semen yang terbesar di Indonesia yang berstatus multinational corporation. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan pengendalian proses secara statistika agar produk yang dihasilkan dapat memenuhi standar spesifikasi yang telah ditentukan perusahaan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengendalian kualitas dengan diagram kendali multivariat. Secara multivariat digunakan diagram kendali Improved Generalized Variance untuk mengendalikan variabilitas proses dan untuk mengendalikan rata-rata (mean) proses digunakan diagram kendali T2- Hotelling. Pengendalian kualitas variabilitas proses produksi semen pada fase I sudah terkendali namun untuk pengendalian dalam rata-rata prosesnya belum terkendali. Dengan menggunakan batas kendali pada fase I didapatkan pengendalian kualitas proses produksi semen pada fase II dalam variabilitas proses sudah terkendali secara statistik tetapi terjadi pergeseran dalam rata-rata prosesnya. Variabel C3A menjadi variabel yang paling dominan dalam menyebabkan titik-titik pengamatan keluar batas kendali.

The industrial plays an important role in the era of development in Indonesia, especially in the infrastructure sector. One of the industrial that has become a strategic industry as an important raw material for infrastructure development is the cement industry. PT XYZ is one of the largest cement producers company in Indonesia with the status of a multinational corporation. Therefore, it is necessary to control the process statistically so that the products produced can fulfill the specifications set by the company. In this study quality control was carried out with a multivariate control chart. Multivariately used the Improved Generalized Variance control chart to control process variability and to control the mean (mean) of the process the T2-Hotelling control chart was used. Controlling the quality of the variance of the cement production process in phase I has been controlled, but for controlling in the mean the process has not been controlled. By using the control limits in phase I, the result is the quality control of the cement production process in phase II in the process variance is statistically controlled but there is a shift in the mean process. Variable of C3A becomes the most dominant variable in causing the observation points to be out of control.
