Abstract

Supply chain is a network of companies that jointly work to create and deliver a product to the end user (suppliers, factories, distributors, stores or retail, as well as supporting companies such as logistics service companies). The company's network must be well managed using supply chain management. From previous research, it is known that one of the requirements for good supply chain management is the information sharing that has been facilitated by the use of information technology. The findings from western countries ignore the indirect effect of information technology on supply chain capabilities through information exchange. The link between information technology alignment, information sharing, and supply chain integration needs to be discussed simultaneously with customer responsiveness as a benchmark of supply chain performance.
This research is a descriptive quantitative study that aims to build a new conceptual model of the relationship between information technology alignment, information sharing, supply chain integration, and customer responsiveness. This study also aims to identify the direct effect of information technology alignment on customer responsiveness and the indirect effect on customer responsiveness through information sharing and supply chain integration in the context of the supply chain. Which variable relationship has a greater influence on customer responsiveness, direct or indirect relationship. In the indirect relationship, which intervening variables can have a greater influence on customer responsiveness, information sharing or supply chain integration. The research methodology starts with problem identification and formulation, literature study, model design and quantitative research design, research instrument development, instrument testing, data collection, validity and reliability testing, path analysis, and ends with thesis preparation.
This study builds a new conceptual model of the relationship between information technology alignment, information exchange, supply chain integration, and customer responsiveness. The results of this study note that there is a significant impact of information technology alignment on customer responsiveness directly, there is a significant impact of information technology alignment on customer responsiveness indirectly through information sharing, and there is a significant impact of information technology alignment on customer responsiveness indirectly through supply chain integration.
