Abstract
Kediri dikenal sebagai daerah yang memiliki banyak wisata serta folklore yang menarik. Salah satu dari beragam folklore tersebut adalah Jangka Jayabaya, adanya folklore tersebut berpotensi menarik wisatawan lokal dan mancanegara. Wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Kediri pun meningkat tiap tahunnya, hal ini menyebabkan permintaan akan souvenir meningkat. Sayangnya, kebanyakan desain yang sudah ada terkesan monoton dan tidak bervariasi.
Metode yang dilakukan pada perancangan ini dimulai dari metode depth interview dengan Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Kediri dengan tujuan mendapat informasi tentang isi Jangka Jayabaya yang berpotensi untuk diangkat sebagai konten kaos, observasi dengan produk daerah dan observasi dengan brand Mayus. Kemudian, penulis melakukan eksplorasi visual dari beberapa gaya gambar. Setelah menemukan gaya gambar lalu membuat alternative desain. Selanjutnya alternative desain tersebut diujikan dengan melakukan depth interview dengan bapak John R. Gerarth yaitu seorang illustrator. Setelah itu, ilustrasi diaplikasikan pada kaos dan totebag sebagai prototype untuk diujikan melalui kuisioner kepada target audiens untuk mengetahui tingkat ketertarikan dan masukan untuk desain kaos yang dirancang. Setelah itu membuat perbaikan untuk desain akhir dan tahap terakhir melakukan user testing untuk mendapatkan saran pengembangan produk kedepannya.
Luaran yang di hasilkan dalam perancangan antara lain 20 desain ilustrasi kaos dengan 6 isi Jangka Jayabaya yang berbeda. Keenam prediksi tersebut mewakili setiap beberapa isi dari prediksi Jayabaya yang ada dan menjadi konten ilustrasi folklor yang dihasilkan kedalam bentuk kaos. Jenis kaos yang digunakan adalah cotton combed 20s, dengan teknik sablon DTG. Sehingga warna yang dihasilkan terlihat lebih tajam.

Kediri is known as an area that has a lot of tourism and interesting folklore. One of the various folklores is the Jangka Jayabaya, the existence of the folklore has the potential to attract local and foreign tourists. Tourists visiting Kediri also increase every year, this causes demand for souvenirs to increase. Unfortunately, most existing designs seem monotonous and not varied.
The method used in this design starts from the depth interview method with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the District of Kediri with the aim of obtaining information about the contents of the Jangka Jayabaya that has the potential to be appointed as t-shirt content, observation with regional products and observation with the Mayus brand. Then, the writer makes a visual exploration of several picture styles. After finding the style of the image then make an alternative design. Then the alternative design was tested by conducting a depth interview with Mr. John R. Gerarth, an illustrator. After that, the illustration was applied to the t-shirt and totebag as a prototype to be tested through a questionnaire to the target audience to find out the level of interest and input for the design of the t-shirts designed. After that make improvements to the final design and the final stage of doing user testing to get product development suggestions going forward.
The output produced in the design included 20 T-shirt illustration designs with 6 different Jaya Jaya contents. The six predictions represent each of the various contents of Jayabaya's prediction and become folklore illustration content produced in the form of t-shirts. The type of t-shirt used is cotton combed 20s, with DTG screen printing technique. So the resulting color looks sharper.
