Abstract
Profil kayu adalah sebuah komponen yang digunakan
untuk memperindah bentuk kayu. Salah satu aplikasi dari profil
kayu adalah pada kaki rangka sangkar burung. Di industri kecil
pembuatan profil kayu masih menggunakan cara yang rumit
karena mengharuskan untuk bongkar-pasang pisau untuk stepping
atas dan stepping bawah serta cara manual menggunakan alat
pasrah untuk stepping radius. Hal tersebut menyebabkan
pembuatannya membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan rendahnya
kualitas produk karena produk yang dihasilkan tidak seragam
yang disebabkan pemasrahan yang tidak konstan.
Mesin ini dirancang menggunakan sistem pemakanan dua
pisau yang dipasang sejajar dan diletakkan di rumah pisau dengan
cara dibaut sehingga mudah dalam pemasangan apabila pisau
mengalami keausan dan membutuhkan pengasahan untuk
mengembalikan ketajaman pisau.
Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh daya motor yang
dibutuhkan sebesar 0,5 HP, dengan putaran motor 1400 rpm yang
ditransmisikan oleh belt dan pulley untuk menggerakkan dua buah
pisau yang dipasang sejajar pada rumah pisau. Setelah dilakukan
uji coba, didapatkan kualitas produk profil kayu yang lebih baik
dan seragam tanpa ada cacat permukaan

Profile timber is a component used to beautify the shape of
the timber. One application of the wood profiles is at the foot of the
framework of the bird cage. In the small industry of making wooden
profiles still using complicated because it requires for removable
blades for stepping up and stepping down and manually using the
tool resigned to stepping radius. This causes its manufacture
requires a long time and the low quality of the product because the
products are not uniform resulting act of submission is not
constant.
These machines are designed to use the system feeds two
blades are mounted parallel and placed in the home by way of
bolted blade so easy to install if the blades wear out and need to
restore the sharpness of a knife sharpening.
From the calculations, the required motor power of 0.5
HP, with 1400 rpm motor rotation is transmitted by a belt and
pulley to move the two blades are mounted parallel to the blade
home. After testing, it was found the product quality wooden
profiles better and uniform with no surface defects
