Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kinetika degradasi
fotokatalitik malachite green dengan menggunakan katalis
semikonduktor TiO2 dan O2/UV. Degradasi fotokatalitik
malachite green mengikuti orde reaksi pseudo orde 0 dengan
konsntanta laju reaksi 0,015 mol/L menit. Konsentrasi awal
optimum adalah 20 ppm menunjukkan prosentase degradasi
tertinggi sebesar 74,167% dengan penyinaran lampu UV 6 Watt
selama 360 menit. Derajat keasaman (pH) larutan optimum
berada pada pH 7 yaitu sebesar 60,021 % pewarna terdegradasi
pada konsentrasi awal 40 ppm. Senyawa 4-N,Ndimetilaminobenzofenon
merupakan
hasil
utama
pada
degradasi

fotokatalitik
malachite
green.

This paper describes the kinetic study of malachite green
photocatalytic degradation using TiO2 semiconductor catalyst and
O2/UV. Photocatalytic degradation of malachite green was
proposed as pseudo zero reaction order with velocity constant (k)
0,015 ppm/minute. Optimum innitial concentrasion was 20 ppm
which malachite green could be degraded 74,167 % with 6 Watt
UV lamp irradiation for 360 minutes. Significant effect was
showed as pH solution changed. Optimum pH was 7 gave 60,021
% malachite green removal at innitial concentration 40 ppm. 4N,N-dimetilaminobenzofenon
was
known
as
dominant
product
of

malachite
green
photocatalytic
degradation.
