Abstract

eban industri pada umumnya menggunakan
peralatan kontrol dan elektronika daya yang menggunakan bahan
semikonduktor yang sangat sensitif terhadap fluktuatif tegangan.
Sebagai kompensasi daya reaktif, pada industri biasanya menggunakan
capacitor bank untuk meningkatkan power factor, menurunkan rugirugi dan meningkatkan kapasitas saluran. Tapi ternyata penggunaan
capacitor bank ini juga menimbulkan permasalahan yang berkaitan
dengan capacitor bank switching selama proses energizing .Selama
proses energizing akan dihasilkan tegangan dan arus transien yang bisa
berpotensi merusak peralatan kontrol, peralatan elektronika daya,
peralatan switching dan capacitor bank itu sendiri.
Pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisis capacitor bank switching
pada sistem kelistrikan PT HOLCIM INDONESIA,TBK PLANT CC#2
CILACAP dengan menggunakan MATLAB Simulink 7.0. Dari hasil
simulasi menunjukkan bahwa capacitor bank switching menghasilkan
transien untuk arus dan tegangan pada sistem. Pada sistem dihasilkan
tegangan transien maksimum 1.35 pu. Pada tugas akhir ini juga
dianalisis penggunaan pre insertion inductor untuk mengurangi efek
transien yang dihasilkan oleh capacitor bank switching. Ternyata
penggunaan pre insertion inductor sangat efektif menurunkan tegangan
transien pada sistem hingga mencapai 1 pu dari tegangan nominal dan
arus transien

Loads on the industry generally use control equipment and
power electronics that using semiconductor materials that are very
sensitive to voltage fluctuation. As reactive power compensation, the
industry generally use capacitor banks to improve power factor,
decrease the losses and improve the release capacity. But in fact the
use of capacitor banks is also cause of the problems associated with
the capacitor bank switching during energizing. During the process of
energizing will be produced transient of voltage and current which
could potentially damage control equipment, power electronics
equipment, switching devices and the capacitor bank itself.
This final project is done analysis of capacitor bank switching
on the electrical system of PT HOLCIM INDONESIA, TBK PLANT
CC # 2 CILACAP using MATLAB Simulink 7.0. From the results of
the simulation shows that the capacitor bank switching produce
transient of voltage and current in the system. In the system,
maximum transient overvoltage generated 1.35 pu. This final project
also analysis pre insertion inductor to reduce the effects transien
generated by capacitor bank switching. In fact the use of pre insertion
inductor is very effective to reduce transien overvoltage on the system
to reach 1 pu of nominal voltage and transient of current
