Abstract
Pakistan Deep Water Container Port ini merupakan proyek pembangunan pelabuhan peti kemas yang berada di Pakistan. Pelabuhan ini nantinya akan melayani bongkar muat dari kapal-kapal tanker. Oleh karena itu diperlukan motor-motor untuk melakukan hal tersebut. Pada plant ini terdapat beberapa motor berkapasitas besar yang dikontrol oleh Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) untuk mengendalikan kecepatan putar motor tersebut. Akibat adanya beban tersebut dipastikan dapat menimbulkan frekuensi harmonisa, dimana frekuensi tersebut akan berpengaruh terhadap kualitas daya yang ada pada plant tersebut serta dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada peralatan seperti trafo dan kabel. Untuk mencegah hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan studi perencanaan pemasangan filter untuk meredam frekuensi harmonisa yang timbul.
Oleh karena itu, dalam tugas akhir ini akan dirancang sebuah filter pasif dengan metode bertingkat (Multistage Passive Filter) untuk meredam frekuensi harmonisa yang timbul akibat beban motor tadi. Dalam membantu proses analisa, pengerjaan Tugas Akhir ini dibantu dengan menggunakan software ETAP 7.0

Pakistan Deep Water Container Port is a container port development projects which is located in Pakistan. This port will serves the loading and unloading activities of the tankers. Therefore we need the motors to do such things. In this plant, there are several large capacity motors controlled by Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to control the motor’s rotating speed. Due to the load, it can certainly causes frequency harmonics, where the frequency will affects the quality of power that exists in the plant and can causes damage to the equipmenst such as transformers and cables. To prevent this, studies need to be done in planning the installation of filters to minimizing the effects of frequency harmonics.
Therefore, this thesis contained a design of a passive filter with multilevel method (Multistage Passive Filters) to minimize the frequency harmonics that arising from motor’s load earlier. For the process of analysis, this final project aided by using ETAP software 7.0
