Abstract
The use of LNG fuel in Indonesia as ship fuel on a small scale such as harbour tug is still very little in Indonesia. In reality, LNG has many advantages over fuel oil in terms of efficiency as well as emissions. Therefore, this research will show about the manufacture of fuel systems design on tugboats with LNG combined with marine diesel oil (MDO). Both fuels are used to run dual fuel engines applied to harbor tug. However, LNG will be the main fuel for running the harbour tug, with the MDO being the only combustion lighter in gas mode. The work of this research began from determining the needs of LNG and MDO fuels that have been adjusted to the operational mode of the harbour tug itself. This is done because there are differences in engine load and also working time in each harbour tug operational mode. Furthermore, LNG fuel transfer system and MDO will be created along with calculation of builder components and pipe installation used. Determination of the laying of components in the engine room will be made after the fuel supply system has been made. Harbour tug in this study is designed to be able to walk for 5 days with 14 hours of operational time each day. The design scheme of the fuel supply system can be seen in figures 4.2 and 4.5. The layout planning image of the engine room can be seen in figure 4.15.
