Abstract

The city of Surabaya is the 2nd largest city in Indonesia. The population in the city of Surabaya is increasing. In January 2019 the population of the city of Surabaya was 3,095,026 people (BPS, 2019). The increasing number of residents in the city of Surabaya has resulted in increased community movements that occur in this city. Congestion also increases due to the large number of vehicles entering Surabaya. One of the solutions offered is the construction of the Park and Ride Building at Benowo Terminal to divert private vehicle users to public transport users.
In planning the Park and Ride Building, several supporting data are needed to facilitate the work of this Final Project, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of passenger volume data and passenger questionnaire survey. This data was obtained by conducting a direct survey at the planning location at 06.00-09.00 at Benowo Terminal. The data is said to be analyzed by processing the data from the questionnaire survey, calculating demand and doing forecasting analysis
From the results of data processing using Microsoft Excel software, the number of prospective users of park and ride facilities for private car drivers is 128 vehicles, while for motorcycles is 2715 vehicles with a planned age of up to 2026 (5 years). From the total demand, a Park and Ride building is planned which can accommodate 2,846 motorcycles and 148 cars with 9 floors and 1 floor for access to public transportation.
