Abstract

Mandala Village and Badur Village are included in the
list of 28 villages in Sumenep Regency that are experiencing
drought and clean water crisis at the end of 2020. Regionally,
Sumenep Regency is composed of several geological formations,
most of which are composed of limestone, which is physically an
area that is barren and dry. Therefore, it is necessary to identify
the depth of the aquifer and groundwater potential in the village,
one way is by using the Vertical Electrical Sounding method with
the Shlumberger configuration. To obtain the subsurface
resistivity value of the research area, measurements and analysis
of VES data were carried out at 10 measurement points spread
over the two villages. The interpretation results show that the
subsurface resistivity values in Mandala Village range from 1,36
– 68,71 m and Badur Village ranges from 9,12 – 4194 m. The
depth of the groundwater aquifer in Mandala Village is between
2,224–63,08 meters and Badur Village is between 3,415-84,6
meters. Potential groundwater aquifers in Mandala Village are
found at points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 with the constituent rocks in the form
of limestone sand, clay sand, and marl sand. While in Badur
Village, it was found at points 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 with the constituent
rocks in the form of limestone sand and clay sand.
