Abstract

Propeller didefinisikan sebagai alat untuk menghasilkan gaya dorong (thrust) yang searah dengan kecepatan arah normal pesawat. Pada pesawat konvensional, propeller diilustrasikan sebagai air screw karena berputar dan bergerak maju melalui atmosfer dengan cara yang sama seperti sekrup. Propeller pesawat terbang memiliki 2 atau lebih blade dan diletakkan ditengah-tengah hub (central hub), setiap blade dalam propeller pesawat merupakan airfoil yang berputar. Pemodelan yang sederhana mengenai gaya yang bekerja pada propeller adalah tiga gaya dasar yaitu thrust, torsi dan sentrifugal. Propeller thrust dan torsi terbentuk dari gaya angkat (lift) dan drag pada foil propeller pada posisi radial.

Propeller is defined as a device to generate thrust (thrust) in the direction of the normal speed of the aircraft. In conventional airplanes, the propeller is illustrated as an air screw because it rotates and moves forward through the atmosphere in the same way as a screw. Aircraft propeller has 2 or more blades and is placed in the middle of the hub (central hub), each blade in the aircraft propeller is a rotating airfoil. A simple model of the force acting on the propeller is the three basic forces, namely thrust, torque and centrifugal. Propeller thrust and torque are formed from the lift and drag on the propeller foil in a radial position.
