Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang secara demografis terletak pada daerah
tropis yang menjadikannya memiliki berbagai keuntungan dari segi posisi tak
terkecuali kondisinya sebagai salah satu negara agraris. Hal ini menjadikan sektor
pertanian Indonesia sebagai salah satu sektor unggulan yang menonjol. Pemerintah
telah melakukan berbagai usaha dimana salah satunya adalah mendirikan
perusahaan pupuk dengan nama PT Petrokimia Gresik yang didirikan di wilayah
Gresik, Jawa Timur. PT Petrokimia Gresik merupakan suatu Badan Usaha Milik
Negara (BUMN) di bawah naungan PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company. PT
Petrokimia Gresik bergerak dalam bidang produksi pupuk, bahan-bahan kimia serta
jasa konstruksi dan Engineering. Pada mulanya perusahaan ini berada di bawah
Direktorat Industri Kimia Dasar tetapi sejak tahun 1992 berada di bawah
Departemen Perindustrian, pada awal tahun 1997 PT Petrokimia Gresik berada di
bawah naungan Departemen Keuangan . Akibat adanya krisis moneter yang dialami
bangsa Indonesia menyebabkan PT Petrokimia Gresik berada di bawah Holding
Company PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (sekarang PT Pupuk Indonesia) tepatnya mulai tahun
1997 hingga sekarang. Jenis pupuk yang diproduksi adalah Zwavelzuur
Ammonium (ZA), urea, pupuk fosfat (SP-36), pupuk majemuk (NPK dengan merek
dagang Phonska), pupuk ZK, dan petroganik. Produk non-pupuk antara lain CO2
cair, CO2 padat (dry ice), ammonia, asam sulfat, asam fosfat, AlF3 (Aluminium
Fluoride), gypsum, N2, dan O2. Kegiatan magang industri yang berkaitan dengan
industrialisasi sangat diperlukan oleh mahasiswa untuk tidak hanya paham teori
saja namun juga mengerti akan kondisi perusahaan yang sesungguhnya, maka
Departemen Teknik Mesin Industri - Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)
Surabaya, berupaya untuk menyiapkan mahasiswanya sebagai SDM yang
berkualitas melalui kegiatan magang industri ini. Harapannya disana mahasiswa
juga tahu tentang proses produksi yang terjadi di PT Petrokimia Gresik serta mengetahui teknologi yang diterapkan disana, Perlu juga diketahui oleh mahasiswa
bahwa perubahan teknologi dan percepatan informasi telah mempengaruhi aspek aspek dalam proses produksi di perusahaan. Sehingga adanya magang industri
mampu menunjang peningkatan mutu dan produktvitas pada industri serta
perguruan tinggi proses magang yang kami lakukan dengan tiga bulan onlie dan 1 bulan offline, satu bulan offline magang kami gunakan untuk menganalisa poses yang pembuatan pupuk. hasil dari proses pengamatan tersebut didapatkan bahwa pupuk npk Phoska empat tahapan yaitu Granulator, Drayer Cooler , Coater. setelah melewati proses tersebut pupuk NPK Phonska akan masuk kedalam pegemasan dan siap untuk didistribusikan.

fertilizer company under the name PT Petrokimia Gresik which was established in the
Gresik, East Java. PT Petrokimia Gresik is a State Owned Enterprise
State (BUMN) under the auspices of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company. PT
Petrokimia Gresik is engaged in the production of fertilizers, chemicals and
construction and engineering services. At first this company was under
Directorate of Basic Chemical Industry but since 1992 it has been under
Ministry of Industry, in early 1997 PT Petrokimia Gresik was in
under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance. As a result of the financial crisis experienced
the Indonesian people caused PT Petrokimia Gresik to be under the Holding
Company PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (now PT Pupuk Indonesia) to be precise, starting in
1997 to present. The type of fertilizer produced is Zwavelzuur
Ammonium (ZA), urea, phosphate fertilizer (SP-36), compound fertilizer (NPK with brand
Phonska trade), ZK fertilizer, and petroganics. Non-fertilizer products include CO2
liquid, CO2 solid (dry ice), ammonia, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, AlF3 (Aluminum
fluoride), gypsum, N2, and O2. Industrial internship activities related to
Industrialization is very much needed by students to not only understand theory
but also understand the real condition of the company, then

Surabaya, strives to prepare its students as competent human resources
quality through this industry internship. I hope there are students
also know about the production process that occurs at PT Petrokimia Gresik and know the technology applied there, It is also necessary for students to know
that changes in technology and the acceleration of information have affected aspects of the production process in the company. So there is an industrial internship
able to support the improvement of quality and productivity in the industry as well as
College internship process that we do with three months online and 1 month offline, one month offline internship we use to analyze the process of making fertilizer. The results of the observation process showed that there were four stages of Phoska npk fertilizer, namely Granulator, Drayer Cooler, and Coater. After going through this process, Phonska NPK fertilizer will be packaged and ready to be distributed.
