Abstract
PT Aneka Timber & Furniture ialah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pengolahan kayu yang berorientasi pada ekspor import. Dalam proses produksinya menggunakan berbagai alat pengolahan kayu, salah satunya ialah mesin finger joint. Didalam mesin finger joint tersebut terdapat mesin miling dan mesin press. Disini penulis mengambil topik mesin press yang ada di dalam mesin finger joint. Mesin press berfungsi untuk memberikan tekanan sehingga potongan kayu di assembling menjadi satu secara kokoh dan pelekatnya lebih kuat. Di mesin press sendiri terdapat 16 silinder pneumatik. Latar belakang penulis mengambil judul ini adalah untuk melakukan perancangan ulang sistem elektropneumatik terhadap Mesin press finger joint dengan output waktu gerak mesin yang disimulasikan dapat bekerja lebih cepat dari kondisi di industrinya, serta merancang sirkuit elektropneumatik untuk mesin press berbasis relay kontrol sistem di software fluidsim 4.2.
Dalam perencanaan ulang mesin press perlu dilaksanakan pengambilan data agar dapat dengan mudah dalam proses perancangan. Terdapat studi literatur yang dilakukan untuk memperoleh referensi teori dan juga terdapat observasi lapangan yang dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan langsung pada objek. Selanjutnya terdapat tahap pengumpulan data, dimana terdapat data spesifikasi antara lain diameter silinder, diameter rod, panjang stroke serta timing saat silinder bergerak. Lalu terdapat tahap pengolahan data dimana ada perancangan diagram notasi, pembuatan displacement step diagram, perancangan sirkuit listrik elektropneumatik, dan running simulasi. Setelah simulasi memenuhi fungsi, maka langsung kepembuatan laporan
Pada mesin press, silinder akan bergerak karena adanya sensor proximity switch, sensor reed switch magnetic dan limit switch yang terdapat ditiap silinder. Sirkuit elektropneumarik mesin press kayu dibuat dengan menggunakan software fluidsim dimana terdapat langkah-langkah cara perencaannya. Dari uji coba yang dilakukan, step langkah berjalan sesuai dengan yang direncanakan dan rangkaian sirkuit elektropneumatik menggunakan software Festo Fluidsim 4.2 dapat berjalan lebih cepat dari kondisi existing di pabrik sehingga kuantitas produksi menjadi lebih besar yang semula dengan waktu 42,25 detik untuk sekali proses dapat menghasilkan ±80 kayu perjam menjadi ±104 kayu perjam dengan waktu 34,3 detik untuk satu kali prosesnya.

In the production process, various wood processing tools are used, one of which is a finger joint machine. Inside the finger joint machine there is a milling machine and a press machine. Here the author takes the topic of the press machine that is in the finger joint machine. The press machine serves to apply pressure so that the pieces of wood are assembled together firmly and the adhesive is stronger. The press machine itself has 16 pneumatic cylinders. in re-planning a press machine need to be implemented data collection in order easily in the design process. There is a literature study conducted to obtain theoretical references and there are also field observations carried out by direct observation of the object. Then there is the data collection stage, where there are specification data including cylinder diameter, rod diameter, stroke length and timing when the cylinder moves. Then there is the data processing stage where there is the design of a notation diagram, the manufacture of a displacement step diagram, the design of an electropneumatic electrical circuit, and a running simulation. After the simulation fulfills the function, a report is immediately generated.
On the press machine, the cylinder will move because of the proximity switch sensor, magnetic reed switch sensor and limit switch located in each cylinder. The electropneumatic circuit of a wood press machine is made using the fluidsim software where there are steps for how to plan it. From the trials carried out, the steps went as planned and the electropneumatic circuit using Festo Fluidsim 4.2 software could run faster than the existing conditions in the factory so that the production quantity became larger, which initially took 42.25 seconds for one process to produce ±80 wood per hour to ±104 wood per hour with 34.3 seconds for one process.
