Abstract
Stevia dapat diperbanyak dengan dua metode yaitu secara generatif dan vegetatif. Sukrosa sebagai sumber karbon dan sumber energi. Stevia merupakan tanaman hari pendek (short day plant) dengan periode kritis penyinaran 12-13 jam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi sukrosa dan fotoperiode terhadap pertumbuhan Stevia rebaudiana. Bahan tanam yang digunakan berupa pucuk tanaman Stevia rebaudiana dan diletakkan pada media MS dan diberi agar sebanyak 8gr. yang diberi perlakuan fotoperiodesitas selama 8/16 jam terang/gelap, 10/14 jam terang/gelap dan 12/12 jam terang/gelap serta diberi perlakuan tanpa sukrosa, sukrosa 3% dan sukrosa 4,5% dan diinkubasi pada suhu 220C. Parameter penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pengukuran tinggi tanaman, perhitungan jumlah daun, jumlah akar, berat basah dan berat kering.
Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kandungan sukrosa pada medium dan fotoperiode berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat basah, dan berat kering pada perlakuan fotoperiode 12/12 jam terang/gelap dan kandungan sukrosa 3%. Namun, kandungan sukrosa pada medium dan fotoperiode tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah akar.

stevia is propagated by two methods, generative and vegetative. Sucrose as a carbon source and energy source. Stevia is a short day plant with a critical irradiation period of 12-13 hours. This study aims to determine the effect of sucrose concentration and photoperiod on the growth of Stevia rebaudiana. Planting material used in the form of shoots of Stevia rebaudiana plant and placed on MS media and given agar as much as 8gr. treated with photoperiodicity for 8/16 hours light/dark, 10/14 hours light/dark and 12/12 hours light/dark and treated without sucrose, 3% sucrose and 4.5% sucrose and incubated at 220C. The research parameters used were measurement of plant height, calculation of the number of leaves, number of roots, wet weight and dry weight.
The results showed that the sucrose content in the medium and photoperiod affected plant height, number of leaves, dry weight in the 12/12 hour light/dark photoperiod and 3% sucrose content. However, the sucrose content in the medium and photoperiod did not affect the number of roots.
