Abstract
Pandemi Covid-19 masih menjadi permasalahan yang umum terjadi pada masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Penyebarannya yang begitu cepat membuat proses penanganannya menjadi tantangan bagi public. Salah satu yang bisa dilakukan adalah menjaga kebersihan dengan rutin menggunakan desinfektan di permukaan untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19. Desinfektan yang memiliki potensi besar adalah desinfektan berbasis klorin karena aman, murah dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuatan desinfektan berbasis klorin dengan optimisasi pH dari larutan dengan tujuan berada pada kisaran nilai pH 6 – 6.5. Massa garam, arus dan waktu divariasikan dalam eksperimen. Hasil menunjukkan nilai pH terbaik sebesar 6.34. Hasil dari XRD menunjukkan terdapat unsur Cu beserta senyawa yang bereaksi dengan Cu. Terbentuk produk sampingan berupa NaOH sebesar 0.004 M dari uji titrasi. Uji efekasi menunjukkan sampel mampu membunuh E.Coli dan S. Aureus selama 1 menit.

Pandemic Covid-19 still become a common problem in the world. Its rapid spread makes a challenging handling process for public. It can be dealed by maintain cleanliness with regularly using disinfectants on surfaces to prevent the spreadings. Disinfectants that have great potential are chlorine-based disinfectants because they are safe, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly. This research focuses on the synthesize of chlorine-based disinfectants by optimizing the pH of the solution with the aim of being in the range of pH values from 6 to 6.5 which is the optimal pH value for disinfectants. Salt mass, current and time were varied in the experiment. The results showed the best pH value of 6.34. The XRD results show Cu is formed in the precipitate. 0. 004 M NaOH is formed which is known through the titration test. Antibactery test showed the effective performance which can kill E.Coli and S.Aureus in one minute.
