Abstract
Sodium sulfat (Na2SO4) atau garam sodium dari asam sulfur. Sodium sulfat dalam bentuk anhidratnya merupakan padatan kristal putih dengan rumus kimia Na2SO4, atau lebih dikenal dengan mineral tenardit yang lebih dikenal dengan nama garam glauber atau sal mirabilis. Proses pembuatan sodium sulfat dekahidrat menggunakan proses mannheim. Dalam proses produksi sodium sulfast dekahidrat ini menghsilkan konsentrasi produk sodium sulfat dekahidrat sebesar 99%. Pabrik ini direncanakan berlokasi di Gresik, Jawa Timur dan beroperasi secara continue dengan operasi 300 hari/tahun; 24 jam/hari. Kapasitas produksi yang dihasilkan 100.000 ton/tahun sodium sulfat dekahidrat 99 %. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah NaCl sebesar 1.551.000 kg/tahun dengan komposisi 55%, dan H2SO4 sebesar 1.254.00 kg/tahun dengan komposisi 45% serta bahan pembantu: Na2CO3 49,983 kg/hari dan Ca(OH)2 1.157 kg/hari. Pabrik ini mendapatkan Laju Penge,mbalian Modal (IRR) sebesar 49,56% sehingga layak didirikan, Waktu Pengembalian Modal (POT) minimum sebelum pajak adalah 2,31 tahun, Titik Impas (BEP) didapatkan sebesar 24,28% dan Net Present Value (NPV) didapatkan sebesar Rp.27.745.820.619

Sodium sulfate (Na2SO4) or sodium salt of sulfuric acid. Sodium sulfate in its anhydrous form is a white crystalline solid with the chemical formula Na2SO4, or better known as the mineral tenardite, better known as Glauber's salt or sal mirabilis. The process of making sodium sulfate decahydrate using the Mannheim process. In the production process of sodium sulfate decahydrate, the product concentration of sodium sulfate decahydrate is 99%. This factory is planned to be located in Gresik, East Java and operates continuously with operations of 300 days/year; 24 hours/day. The resulting production capacity is 100,000 tons/year sodium sulfate decahydrate 99%. The raw materials used are NaCl of 1,551,000 kg/year with a composition of 55%, and H2SO4 of 1,254.00 kg/year with a composition of 45% and auxiliary materials: Na2CO3 49,983 kg/day and Ca(OH)2 1,157 kg/day . This factory gets a Return on Capital Rate (IRR) of 49.56% so it is feasible to establish, the minimum Payback Time (POT) before tax is 2.31 years, the Break-even Point (BEP) is 24.28% and the Net Present Value (NPV) obtained is Rp.27,745.820.619
